Hey all, My name is Jonathan McCreery... I was here 14 years ago and now I'm back.. Ive had my 86 GT for 20 years.. Its had a 2.8 with nitrous and a northstar in it, now awaiting a new motor since the N* is pooched. Always loved my fiero, so I never got rid of it... Currently have the fiero , a 911, corvair, a few bikes, 2012 cooper S , 2013 F150 87 CRX... Isetta.. I'm sure there's a few others I'm missing.
With the age of the northstar, all the wiring fiasco and the final product I don't think so. Nothing against the motor, I'm just really not enough of an engineer to do another. I would like something a little more simplistic and reliable so I can just go back to enjoying the car. It already has Koni's, 11.25" brakes, big bars, poly, 5spd conversion...etc. I really loved the car when it was just a 6 to be quite honest.

i just bought a 2010 G6 with the VVT 3.5. Has an advertised 220 HP right out of the box. Seems like it would be a lot of fun in a Fiero, especially bolted to a manual tranny. I hear they respond to mods quite well. (The 3.9 is also an option. It only has a few more HP, and much worse fuel economy, though. That may not be a consideration for you.)
