Brembo in Homer MI makes tons of rotors every day, mainly for OEM use.

Bought AC Delco power window motors through RockAuto a few months ago.
I found "Made in China" on the box...

They fit properly and work well (so far).
Don't want to do that job again.

I have been buying acdelco premium brake rotors for most of my cars now for the last couple of years and I really like them. They are nicely painted including in the vanes. Keeps rust formation down to a minimum and saves me the trouble of painting them myself. They all seem to be made in China though.

I have noticed that even when buying parts from a dealer GM or Dodge (I suspect other manufacturers are the same), chances are pretty high that the box will be marked Made in China.

Although I did buy some TPS and they were marked Made in the UK - so I guess not everything is made in China.

LOL...Don't sugar-coat it, Steve. Tell us what you really think.

I agree with you totally. It's the same here in Oz. Our heavy industry is closing an moving off-shore to China, Indonesia, India, and other places. GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, and Nissan no longer build cars in Australia. Our minerals and ore are sold cheaply. I don't mind they go offshore as long as they compete fairly. They don't! Their governments subsidise them. They manipulate their currency...

Sorry, everyone. Getting political. Signing off now...

I always love it when the writers in the Globe and Mail business section explain to us morons that manufacturers had to move to China because consumers demanded lower prices. Yup I remember all the big protests in the US and Canada demanding products be made cheaper in China, we were just begging the manufactures to do us a favour and leave our countries forever and send those jobs packing. Except where are the lower prices?

The prices actually haven't dropped. That is why corporate profits are soaring. We could manufacturer products domestically and the corporatists will still make their millions but they make far more by outsourcing their manufacturing that will use cheap, ignorant, unskilled labor. When you purchase Chinese you never know what quality you are going to get. That is why my local Autozone ships back at least one full pallet per month of defective merchandise. .

You're all racists now. And anti-semites. Now get back to charging up your credit cards or else you hate America.
