Just installed one of my new Monroe sensatrac struts, I think my mount is messed up or did I do something wrong?



The rubber is pushing out and making the shaft sit way too high.

You have the hat (the part with the integral rubber bushing) on upside down.

Derp! Yep that was it, thanks for the help...I feel dumb now

Some guys actually purposely rebuild them that way, especially if they've lowered their suspensions. By flipping the hat it regains about an inch of lost strut travel.
