Tried Rockauto and OE Parts, Rockauto has pricey shipping, OE Parts has pricey parts. So far it looks like Amazon has the best mix of both Are there others?
Sometimes when buying basic Delco/AC parts Amazon is the best supplier. Otherwise, you pretty much have it covered with Rock Auto and GM parts, as far as mail order goes. You could also try Summit or your local Advance Auto. Advance can be a good deal if you order online with pickup at the store using their discounts.
Everybody has their favorite sites. I like Rock and Amazon mostly, but have also used Summit and the Fiero Store.

thank you Kevin. Amazon is the cheapest by far, only downside is I have to pay sales tax now. 2 distribution centers locally, part of the tax incentive after two years

Agreed, and if your a Prime member, two day shipping is free also. And their return policy is second to none. I ordered a set of mudflaps for my truck, the first set was right the second set was wrong. I filed an RMO and 20min later recieved an email stating they were sorry and overnight shipped the correct set, which was before I even shipped back the incorrect ones (at thier cost I might add).
As an interesting side note, I work at a dealership that supposedly gives an employee discount. As an example : I was looking for a Delco injector spider for my 01 S10. Amazon price was 191.xx and checking the price at work, it was 255.xx for the same exact part. Needless to say, I ordered it from Amazon.
I check Amazon first, and then take the P/N to Ebay to see if I can find NOS stuff at a reduce price. -Jason
Buy local to support your community and keep the money in your local economy.
Sometimes the parts aren't available locally.
I needed a motor mount about a year ago. The aftermarket brand I kept seeing was Anchor. No one had it locally and would have had to special order it, so I just went ahead and ordered it from Rock Auto, for $54. Then it turned out to be the wrong one - the illustration on their website was correct but the part that came was wrong. I sent it back but was leery of ordering another one in case it was wrong also. I tried to find it locally but no one had it. Most interesting however was the range of prices. Autozone wanted $99, Advance Auto wanted $139 and Pep Boys wanted an eye-popping $238. All for the exact same part! Finally I called Tom at Crate Engine Depot (who is a forum member here) and got the AC Delco part for $79. I drove up to his dealership so in the end I did indeed buy locally.
Thats the general policy I have. I buy down the street, and if its not available anywhere...then go online or mail order. I also like my parts right then, not having to wait 3 days for them to ship. I had to get a part for the carb on one of my generators and no place in town had it, so I had to order from manufacturer and took it over a week. Then what if it isnt right, you have to ship it back and have them send another. So you get stuck with more shipping and another 2 weeks waiting.
I also like to support local, in this case, I am. Two local distribution warehouse's whose employees are directly paid by my orders, who spend money back into my local tax base. I also have the "privilege" of paying sales tax on my order, something other states without a physical Amazon location aren't obligated to do as far as I know. So I feel confident in my case, this is shopping locally.
Unfortunately, non of the mom/pop stores carry ACDelco to my knowledge
My only complaint about Rockauto is that that they don't stock what they sell. Items are drop shipped from the supplier. A few years ago, I ordered a clutch master cylinder from them that came with no reservoir. Instead of allowing me to return it and shipping another, they wanted to bill my card for the second one and then credit me when the original showed up at their location. That pissed me off so badly (THEY'RE the ones who screwed up... not me) that I didn't buy anything from them for several years. I also told my friends...
