Mine might be original.

I don't think there is a way to know if a hose NEEDS to be replaced without inspecting the entire hose (inside included), it's something that is replaced as preventive maintenance, especially the top hose which is more likely to fail. Definitely should be replaced.

Our 86 Coupe with 2.5 and 88 Formula (2.8) both have original hoses.
I am sort of scouting where to get replacements for all the hoses.
Is there a part number list anyone has put together?
I especially dont want to have it all drained / put back together and find out I am missing one hose, or have a one wrong hose...

I would be worried that the new hoses may be inferior. There are a lot of new parts like that.....shop carefully.

I figured coolant and heater hoses are one thing that should be replaced before they fail but for sure I know what you mean.

The hoses near the where it connects will usually start to bulge and feel softer than the rest of the hose.

All the hoses on my 88 GT were original but I wanted maximum reliability so I replaced all of them. I didn't make a list of all the part numbers, but I can tell you they are hard to find. Autozone only has three of the five primary cooling hoses.

EDIT: Deleted misinformation about lower coolant hose on passanger side. I didn't know Rodney has them too.

I have all the 88 V-6 coolant hoses on hand:

Heater core with A/C:

I do not stock the non A/C heater core hoses because they are readily available elsewhere.
