I can't believe the trouble I am having locating a 'tank' heater that uses 120 volts and is located in the lower radiator hose. I am not in favor of using a 'frost plug' heater or a headbolt heater.
. . . . Hope someone here has a link to where I can purchase one (2?) of these.. . . chas

You could build your own. Wrap a coolant tube with some resistance wire.....I wonder where to put the plug?

edit: I don't think it would be a good idea to put something in the hose....water flow is critical.

What I have in mind and found earlier tonight online and can't find now is a round device that fits in like a 2" hose and then its main body would be 3" in Dia. The main body would be In the area of 3" long, with the 2" diametet snout on each end being about 3/4" long.. 4-1/2" overall length. The heating elements are in the 'buldge' and don't interfer with the flow. I bet my local NAPA store has 3 dozen on hand....have to check them out in the morn. Thanks for your reply. . . chas
