Hi everybody, first let me say I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to post this. I have an 88 duke with 91,000 on it that runs great, unfortunately it's still in a grand am. Should I list it in the classifieds on this site? The car itself is done and I don't want to scrap the engine with it, a friend of mine said I should get on here to see if anyone wants it. Thanks, decalguy.

Here sounds like as good a place as any.

Check the 8th letter of the VIN. I think the Grand Am is a VIN "U", where the Fiero is an "R".
Seems like I remember reading that there are some differences.
That's the Cliff's Notes version. I'm sure that someone can describe in more detail.

If you want to list it here, try "Off-Topic" or "Other Cars" sections. Either seems like it would be appropriate.

You ought to get a Fiero and don't be a stranger.

Most GA has VIN U engine.
Sadly U does not replace a R engine or other way around...
VIN U is shorter (crank/block length) and other differences.
