My Fiero has the typical phantom wipes but I usually get them when I start the car, use my turn signal, driving down the road, etc.
I often get to work early so I sit in the parking lot listening to my radio. (key in the accessory position ) Well, I can tell you that you can get phantom wipes just sitting there listening to your radio with the key in ACC.
Well, I thought it was funny anyways .

I swapped in an 88 circuit board on the wiper motor and haven't had a phantom wipe since. One bolt and one connector and everything is easy to get to. One of the easiest fixes I've ever done.

Is that all it takes to fix the "phantom wipe" ?
