Well I have finally arrived at that point in my swap, where all the puzzle pieces are ready to go together. Now I only need to get my PCM reprogrammed. I have been thinking of finding someone local to do it but I'm not entirely sure of what I should have them do. I know that VATs have to go as well as codes for the A/T, down stream O2 and EGR. Would I be fine with the stock tune? I have a series II n/a that I have completely rebuilt; the only things that aren't stock are the heads and rods. I had the heads ported out and the stock rods taken down 0.001 on the insides. Any recommendations?

I can tune your PCM for you - but it would be cheaper to just ship it to me rather than have you drive the 3 1/2 hours or so to have me do it in-person.

Just make sure whoever tunes your PCM is familiar with working with engine swaps in Fieros so they disable all the codes that commonly need to be disabled in such swaps - otherwise you're going to end up with false trouble codes setting for things you didn't transfer to the Fiero from the donor vehicle (mainly, emissions equipment) when you did the swap.

If you are interested in my services, you can contact me via email at: sp1@gmtuners.com

Ryan programmed my ECM and it fired right up and with no SES lights. I highly recommend him to program your ECM as well.

I filled out a sheet of paper as to what I wanted or needed in my conversion and sent the computer to Ryan and he had it back in my hands in just a few days--if memory serves me right it was less than a week.

There are other good programmers here but I have no personal experience with them but I do know Ryan and endorse his work.

Wow Muskegon. I bought a car with a 3800 swap that Sinister did the programing on. Welcome to the 3800 club. There are quite a few in West Michigan. Kalamazoo area has a lot and metro GR has a few.

ZZPerformance in Wyoming/Grandville area may do that also. They started out as 3800 SC specialist for the Grand Prix and have expanded from there.

We'll Ryan seems to be the guy to go with so I'm going to send my pcm to him. There are a lot of fieros over here on the lakeshore as well- I don't think I could even count all of them on two hands... Also, I didn't know that ZZPerformance was close by.

Dont mess with ZZP on a Fiero tune..Usually have issues with codes being left in the PCM and parameters not being setup right for use in the Fiero.
