While pulling off my front end, my girlfriends dad decided to throw an 80's cowl? (probably wrong with wording) on the fiero, now with how I have the fiero sitting in the picture I think its an interesting concept;

I believe the fiero would look good and more muscle if the hood & lights rose rather than juust the lights, fill in the side throw a little vent in the front that 69 gto bumper conecept this may be a monster.

Wow that's a great idea (dripping with sarcasm)! A gigantic ram air hood scoop on a car that has the engine in the back. All you would need to complete the look would be a picnic table style wing on the back and a couple 6" tailpipes. Oh and don't forget the Type R stickers to really make it look legit.

beautiful response, you are missing the point. Its not ment to look like a fiero, not even the concept of a fiero. Its more or less what the fiero could have been or some styling points. a simple; Doesn't look good. Would suffice.

no it does kinda look neat with the hood over the lights but the scoop not so much... I have a square style scoop I thought of putting on but foreward facing serves no point and rear just looks like crap. The hood idea while neat would take MAJOR body skills waaay above mine atleast.

Years ago I saw a GTO with a huge front scoop on the car. He kept getting stopped by the police for driving the car on the street with the scoop blocking his view. The GTO was set up as a drag racer that had NYS plates on it and he was using it driving on the street.

It would make it look like someone is desperate for attention and trying to overcompensate for a small weiner.. ... Kind of like huge aftermarket spoilers that don't actually do anything... Really doesn't go with the car at all in my opinion

If I failed to mention or some failed to read the scoop is a joke. The girlfriends dad found it funny because it was all the rage in that era.

I have v8 kit coming in, will be a 305Ho from a 85 monte carlo ss paired to a 5spd, still deciding on how to build it up though.

Dont waste your time with a 305. Find a 350 if you want a SBC.

I keep hearing that but explain to me this, Why do I need a 350? I am not drag racing, the 305 heads are better, it retains slightly better fuel economy and I can build it the same as a 350 if i desire.

Besides the fact. More Photos;
I actually kinda do like this setting. (No its not gonna happen but yeah)

Small bore shrouds intake valve, doesn't breathe as well as 350. Better heads are avialable than the 305HO heads.
Same engine externally, larger bore delivers more torque and horsepower with fewer mods.
You keep hearing it from people because its true.
