Love this car, but starting to have bad hesitation on take off.
Check forum, pull codes, replace TPS. No improvement.
Check forum, pull codes, replace MAP sensor. Running worse.
Check forum, pull codes, replace MAT sensor. Barely runs.
Check forum, to hell with codes, replace temp sensor. No improvement.
Check forum, replace IAC. No improvement. Beginning to wonder about this car.
Check forum, check EGR. Its OK
Check forum, replace oil pressure switch. Car beginning to pi$$ me off.
Check forum, try to set timing, but jumping all over the place. Replace timing chain and water pump. Car only runs a minuet then dies.
Check forum, check fuel pressure relay. Its OK . I HATE this car.
Check forum, replace ECM, Will not even start. Ready to push this SOB into street and write "FREE CAR" on windshield.
Check forum, replace fuel pump....Runs like a champ!!!
I love this car.

have you checked the coil, and the icm, and the general condition of the distributor, cap, rotor wires?

Had issues and turned out to be the pump also. Drive down the highway and th ecar would shut off after it got super hot. Once the pump totally failed I figured it out and it doenst get hot anymore. No lean fuel mix. I think these new fuels kill our old pumps. Rick B

The alcohol in the new fuels does not play well with old/original fuel pumps on our cars. The seals swell up and can stop the pump from running once you stop and then try to restart the car. Ask me how I know.
If I let it sit for about an hour then I could restart the car and drive. But as soon as I shut it off again.................
