so ive seen the owner drive the car. its a legit swap.its out of a 07 boneville. the rim is bent but thats no big deal.i have spare wheels and the president of the fiero club here in san diego also checked it out and said it was a good deal. i spoke to the guy and he'll let it go for 3500. the interior has leather seats (the driver side has wear and tear) the engine sounds good. had the car on for like 30 mins and no over heating. the guy even burn some rubber. in over all good condition. i wanted to know how much these cars go for just incase i wanna sell it in the future if i buy it.

I bought a piss poor 3800 swap for $3500 and it was a complete pile. I had to have the swap redone and put a lot into it. If this runs and drives and is anywhere near as fast as claimed, its a good price
umm.. i maybe mistaken, but the bonneville ended production in 2005.... so how is that a "2007 bonneville 3.8"
still a small note, guy obviously is a liar... if it is a series 3 supercharged... im pretty sure it had to come out of a pontiac... guy wants a sucker to buy it for a reason, i mean why lie so much?

My point exactly. If he's lying about that is he going to lie about mileage or reliability? I'm to the point where one red flag comes up and I'm done dealing with people on a transaction.
i will offer 2k and see if he's willing to accept. and ill explain why. ill keep you guys updated. .......................how long would it take to do a 3800sc swap?? and how hard is it to do it??
Last Pontiac Bonneville was a 2005 model. So that engine obviously can't be from a '07 Bonnie. 600 WHP? Okay, show me the dyno slip. Don't have it anymore? Okay, take me to the dyno shop that did it. They will have a record of the pulls. I'd do a very critical look at everything I could think of looking at. Then I would take it for a road test. I would not buy it without a road test. Also, why is the rim bent? Run over something? Hit a curb? I'd want a suspension shop to take a look at the front end.

the rear quarter windows look like they are screwed on and the front marker/trim is black while the rest is painted. Might have done more too it than bent the rim. Otherwise if it runs, idles correctly, all the guages work and you can take it for a test drive/ride than 3500 isn't a bad price. 2500/3000 would be even better. Sure it may need some work but it's an 88 with a running driving 3800 and for that price it's a pretty good starting point. Just my .02
clean title? miles on chassis? miles on engine? do you have charts of the dyno? the Bonneville stopped production in 2005 you said its from a 2007?? lowest youll go down on price? im willing to get it tommorrow or sat if the price is right
lets say its clean title, the 3800 is from like an 05, has about 100k miles on body and about 70k on engine, runs fine (ive heard it before and it does)
how much can this car go for if i clean it up. meaning interior is redone and i paint it, buy new wheels and redyno and does about 300hp??
If the swap was done properly, and the car runs, and drives well, then it is a good buy. I would still make an offer because of the other issues mentioned in this thread Can you post pictures of the swap itself?
