Looks about right I'm always happy that our cars are so easy to take apart its stupid. Takes some time and grunting, but I'd rather have our route than messing around under a car to remove the trans bolts or the whole trans/motor together. Best of fortunes getting her fixed.

Well... I thought it was the torque convertor seal... BUT ITS NOT.

looks like a little of the bearing from the convertor scored onto one of the shafts, does anyone think I can salvage the trans?
(If not, I have a perfectly fine 88 transmission sitting right next to this, and I can put it in if I have to, and junk this one)

something to do with the alignment between the trans and convertor when it locks?

there is absolutely no play on that shaft...

I will pull the torque convertor off the motor and check the flexplate for any warpage.

before this, I used to bumpshift up and down the gears on the trans. idk if that had anything to do with this.

Have you thought about putting a 440T4 trans in your GT?
