Been checking out the forums for a while, Finally got my 85 GT from my grandfather so i figured it's time to post and say hello.

Still trying to figure out how posting works around here

anyways, I have a 85 GT Automatic, the car has 68,000 original miles on it. It has been driven almost everyday, in the last few years only a few miles a day, and was always garage kept since 89 when my grandfather bought the car. So, good news is it runs, bad news is it's probably full of carbon build up from the last few years of only running it a few miles a day and not allowing the engine to heat up properly. It's got some work to be done, but that is more then ok with me. it will be my DD for a while and im loving every minute of it.

it really is great to be driving this car, and i can not wait to get it running it top shape once again over the next few months.

Welcome to the Madness!
I got my 86 GT back in October. I still can't believe it's mine. Good luck on your car and hope everything goes smoothly!

Thank you, it needs a few more rounds of polish to bring the clear coat back, but it's better then it was so i'm happy. TBH, the car is in amazing shape for being 28 years old

I'm hoping i can get some extra power out of this block after i get it back into shape. i'm not sure what the HP/Torque limits are on the auto tranny though. I'll eventually have to research that one. The goal is to keep it close to stock. but i can never resist making some well deserved updates.

i really cant wait to get the shocks and struts back working to see how this car really handles. Never had a non power assisted steering car, kinda like driving a big go cart

Welcome! If you're on facebook check out "Pete's Fiero Cruises" or keep an eye on here. Pete puts together great cruises and we usually leave from somewhere around Allentown.

Sweet I will definitely keep an eye out for that. I know there are a bunch of fiero owners in the area so it will be cool to meet up.

Welcome! I'm new also. I just bought my first Fiero back in March (87 GT). It's still at my parents place back in Ohio, and it needs work. Itching to get it on the road though!

As I'm sure you've found out, folks here are extremely helpful and friendly. I've learned so much in a short time.

Enjoy. And when someone says "Welcome to the Madness", they are not joking!

i don't doubt that one. this forum actually reminds me of the early days on the scion clubs before they stopped all of the car shows.
