I know it is about a year away but figured many of you might want to plan early. They announced at the end of this year's Power Tour that next year is going from Charlotte to the Wisconsin Dell's. I believe the dates will be June 6-12. but I don't have a confirmation on that yet.
The goal for me is to long haul again ( was only able to make 3 stops this year) . If anyone has question about how Power Tour works or in planning your trip please ask on here so everyone else with that question can know the answer.
I have long hauled 4 times and I know Phil Gwen and Larry are old pros at it to.
Hope to see more Fieros out there.

I'm certainly interested, and would be happy to meet up in the Dells with whomever makes it. Do they have the stops posted yet? I could potentially do a couple if I plan far enough ahead. I live very close to the Dells.

stops aren't posted yet. I will post them as soon as I know, I have an inside source, and a good network of friends that seem to find things out before they are announced.
Lots of potential stop guesstimates Lexington, Ky, Louisville, Indianapolis, Effingham, IL (lunch stop?), Springfield, IL, all of which have been stops in the past. It is around 1000 miles of driving for the Power Tour.
I'm sure I'll make the start in Concord NC. Not sure about the rest of the run. I'd love to do the Long Haul, but that's a 15-16 hour drive home from Wisconsin Dells.
just heard from one of my sources. that Charleston is also going to be one of the stops, however we don't know if it's going to be the show on Sunday or Monday
Power Tour will be in Charleston, WV on June 9th in the downtown area where they do the Rod Run. This is not confirmed through hot rod but an outside source that says she knows someone that works for the city.
I have booked hotels in Concord, Wisconsin Dells and Charleston as of now.
HINT: I book all my hotels with free cancellation til the last moment just in case i am wrong with the information and or some reason i can not make the tour.
New talk is that Day two Sunday June 8th will be in Knoxville, TN this ins not confirmed yet.

As you get more info about what route you will run through IL let me know. IF my car is ready enough, I'd love to join in. My brother lives by the Dells so it gives me an extra reason to go up and see the family there. I go pick up my "new" Fiero tomorrow so I'll have to assess the labor and try to get my motor swap done in time. Was planning on doing the body first as a panel off restore. Might be there in primer but who cares

Got my hotels booked based of the info i gave out...i would start booking soon if you have any thoughts of going, beause once Hot Rod Offically releases the info Prices will SOAR!...
Remember my hint always book with a cancellation option straight through the hotel provider! (not third party sites like travelocity, priceline, hotwire, etc) That way if you can't go or if you break down you wont be out the money!
Well got my Hot Rod today that had the article for the 2013 tour. There was a small blurb about 2014 saying that i will be leaving Concord, NC and going to Wisconsin.
NOTICE it did not say Wisconsin Dells!! I am thinking there was issues in the dells and the tour is looking for another location. I have some ideas where that still would be close to the dells, but only time will tell.
I have contacted Fred (put on the Heartland Show) from IA and he hasn't heard anything down there yet about the Bettendorf stop.

prices are if you do a full registration and can attend as many days as you want...AND YOU GET FREEBIES (LONG HAULERS GET BETTER AND MORE FREEBIES) Typically it is $30 (paid at the gate) a day if you just want to register for 1 day (meaning if you plan on making more than 2 stops do a full registration)

Dells still seems in...friend that works for hot rod seem 95% sure...but still waiting on the announcement.
If it is he says it will be at Chula Vista Resort.. same place the hold the Dells Run, but would be the week after the Dells Run if there is one in 2014
Chula Vista is a nice resort. There are also many, many other hotels in the area that may be more economical. As for parking, there is a large parking lot/lots. I don't know if it is large enough for 1500 cars.
Cities are confirmed, and venues were figured out by distances from the host hotels.

If you are event thinking about start booking your hotels now....they book up fast and prices will go up the less rooms left are. (book with cancellation option... you never know what might happen)
I know the Northern IL Fiero Enthusiast are going to try to get a group together to make at least one stop whether be Crown Point, Bettendorf, or the Dells (if not all 3)
I will be hopefully long hauling this year from Concord to the Dells, if everything works out right at work, but if not i will be joining the tour in Norwalk, OH.
Any questions this will be my 6th Power Tour so i will be able to help anyone through anything.

Trying to get with the NIFE group to put together an event leaving somewhere along the route on 6/12 as it drives across IL. The group will then be at the show in Bettendorf, IA. Hopeing from there we can get with the Heartland Group and have BBQ or something that night? Then hopefully some of the group will stay in the Quad Cities area and all head up to the Dells together for 2 great days of cruising and car showing.

Personally i have hotels already booked for the Long Haul, and hope to be able to do it. If not i will be leaving Chicago area early early 6/9 to try to meet up with the tour in Charleston, WV or if not that Leaving early early 6/10 and meeting the tour in Norwalk, OH.

In 2005 the Power Tour started in Milwaukee on the Saturday of Dells Run. I drove over to register, then back to Chula Vista. Sunday I took off and met up with the Power Tour on the road to Springfield. In 09 the Tour started in Racine the Saturday after the Dells Run. I kicked around that area, had Archie's crew work on my transmission and picked up the Power Tour.
If things with the Power Tour go as before, the 2015 would start in that area, Chula Vista, and the route would be south somewhere.
