I've decided to head to the local 1/4 mile drag strip this Friday after work, i'm expecting 1/4mile times in the 12.8x-13.2x range.

Anybody want to make a educated guess? here's the specs on my car.

Car: 1986 SE Auto
Engine 3800 Supercharged
Trans: 4t65e-hd
Mods, ZZP 1.0pcm W/ Performance shift, 3.4" Pulley, 3" single exhaust, 3" intake, NKG TR6 plugs & 215/60-14 Mickey Thompson E.T. Street tires on stock aluminum rims

I plan on a few passes on pump gas and then a few passes on race gas + ZZP race pellet (+4deg timing) after the sun goes down.

The results are in, working on the video now, my PC isn't the latest or greatest so video processing so it is kinda slow.

My 1st pass because I was concerned about running a silly time that didn't require a helmet, I chose not to wear one. I hit a solid 1.873sec 60' got worried that I REALLY needed a helmet and let off a little past mid track to a 13.79 @ 78MPH (I was informed by Tech "DO NOT Re Enter the track without a helmet )

2nd pass, Helmet on head I ripped off another 1.855sec 60' but wasn't 100% about the 1/4mile line and let off @ the 1,000ft mark. (13.056@99mph )

Feeling totally full of my self and thinking my 12.xx pass was just a pass away I made another 3 passes. 13.116, 13.011 and even a 13.970@105.4MPH where i managed to get the car in Neutral at the line and coasted the first 6ft and then nailed it.

At that point I thought I give the car a rest, with the track fully staffed for a fairly major event this weekend and relatively low turnout I had 5 passes under my belt in 25min.

Just 15min later, after noticing that my transmission mode switch was OFF (Stock '98 Bonneville SSEi) I flipped ON Performance shift (Part of the ZZP Tune) pass #6 with my worst 60' time of the night (1.900sec) I finally broke into the 12's

12.959@105.08

The track had some NHRA guys going for licenses so after about and hour was back on track.

12.871@104.96

12.944@104.61

And because no trip to the track is without regrets & with a 1997 Viper in the other lane & on my last run I ran out of gas in the last 200ft and lost 3MPH
12.879@102.07

The car had enough gas to make it to the fuel area, just not enough to run nose up/ ass down. And I never did get a chance to bump the timing up with the ZZP Race Pellet (52k Resistor in the IAT circuit + race gas) all.of my passes today where on pump gas and I couldn't be any more happy with the car.

Nice Runs! Simple mods and you're already quicker than most cars on the road. What's up with that truck? Moving out!

I know right! that Expedition is no joke, It was the support vehicle for a 2008 Shelby GT500KR, something happened to the car now the truck has a 5.4L DOHC Shelby motor with a 2.8L KennyBell on top, 3" pulley, mammoth intake & an Lincoln AWD transfer case. it ran the 12.966@104 on 4 Goodyear wrangler tires in the right lane on the 2nd time slip I posted.

I found your video on Youtube before I found your threads, and I definitely showed all my Friends in my auto class. They were really impressed, and it makes me even more antsy to get my 3800sc finished!

Thanks,
For what It's worth I wasn't actually out of fuel on my last pass, That had happened to me a few other times after that and I could only get 7 gallons in the tank and when the car cut off against the Viper I should have had about 2 gallons on the tank. I think the automotive In tank pump was creating a whirlpool in the tank at low fuel levels. I keep it over a 1/2 tank now and all seems to be well.

That last run haunted me all summer, that would have easily been my fastest ET. It was my 2nd best 60' and best 330', 1/8th mile ET & MPH my fastest 1000' and i still trapped 102mph with the car shut off 50' before the finish.
