In addition to writing songs and singing , Steve Winwood played guitar, saxophone, drums and keyboards.
After the breakup of Traffic, he recorded a couple of solo albums, where he he played everything himself.

He's talented, but he has this Tom Petty/Geddy Lee/Robert Plant/various others- vocal quality that's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. It's a love hate thing, I love the music and *want* to listen to the songs, but my enjoyment is quashed by the horrible tone of the vocals.
