Yup, that's my new title. My eldest daughter gave birth to Ashton Zane Hamilton tonight at 7:58 PM. He was 7 lbs 13 oz and 20" long. This little guy is following in my foot steps so far. Doctor gave my Mom a due date of September 3rd. Apparantly I heard him because on September 3rd out I came. Well Ashton had a Doctor given due date of December 29th and here he is.

I am a fairly new grandpa of 2 grandsons. Spend as much time as you can with them because they grow up FAST!

He gets to go home with Mommy tomorrow. We stopped in to see them tonight. Poor girl was up until 4 in the morning with him because he didn't want to go to sleep. Yup, been there done that. I'm suprised she didn't ask them to take him back to the nursery so she could get some sleep. Actually, I'm kinda proud she didn't. While she needs her rest it's nice to see her stepping up to take care of her new bundle. Daddy was there with her to, so he didn't get much sleep either .
