I watch this show, mostly because I lived there for about 8 years and recognize some of the landmarks. They always make a big deal of how they have to be quick so the cops dont bust them. There always racing as fast for the trailers as for the finish line. In the latest episode when the Dart pulled out to race the Camaro, If you look fast (the editors apparently didnt) you can see the lights flashing on the police car roadblock to keep passerby cars out of the shots. Then of course there were great shots of the huge super brite portable floodlights 'miles out in the country' where they are trying to 'hide'. Oops.

Funny how you catch some real bad bloopers. (Thank goodness for DVD and rewind.) Just a couple that I caught are one of the Dukes of Hazard episodes they were being chased in the town circle by their favorite sheriff. You can watch the boys pass a parked General Lee. Another one this past weekend. Scrooge, (50's version). Christmas morning after the spirits visits. Ebenezer is looking in the mirror and you can see [in the mirror] a man sitting in a chair in the background.
As far as the [scripted] reality shows. Don't watch them.
You would be surprised on what goes on behind the scenes. My Daughter Laura is in Miami from L.A. for the Christmas Holidays. If you are quick, you will see here name at the end when the credits are shown. Laura Flanagan was the Senior Producer for the second season and she was the Field Producer during the first season. She spent 2 1/2 months in OKC during the filming. We both watched the show on Monday night and she narrated what it took to get what you are seeing in the finished product.
Be on the lookout for the VW in upcoming shows referred to as the Dung Beetle.
And NO I am not giving out any results on the top ten list OR the "Dung Beetle".

Um, not legit at all. If you see at the beginning (or was it the end) it says that the show is a reenactment, and based on actual events.
There are lots of things based on actual events... But it's a very abused word. Bob tells a story, the actual event. "I was driving the Tow truck one day, and this lady yelled at me as I drove past her, it scared me". The Writers get ahold of it, and suddenly he's in a high speed chase, the lady is a gang of drug smugglers, holding babies hostage. The tires on the tow truck are on fire, there is gasoline everywhere and people are shooting! The driver pulls out his AK and starts firing, accurately, he saves the babies, and repos the ladies car.... All based on a true story... Based.

Yeah, I don't watch most reality shows because the "acting" is horrible. This includes almost every show on Discovery or History. Sad really, I remember watching Discovery Channel when I was in junior high and they always had really cool shows about new technologies and awesome nature programs. You could tune into History Channel and almost be guaranteed to see some awesome show about one of the past wars, now you're guaranteed to see Pawn Stars.
Don't even get me started on The Learning Channel
But yeah, I caught the big flood lights in an episode last year.

What is the deal with History Channel having a "marathon" of whatever show is playing?
What happened to scheduling? You know, a show on once a week for an hour, then something else... Now you switch to them, and the same show is on for the next 8 hours. Who wants to see that?
