Pizza delivery?

That's the concept that I've been reading that investors and startups are all flocking toward drone technology.

Going beyond surveillance, civilian drones could be a part of our future and could be delivering your next pizza.

It will be interesting to see this all shake out.

Correct, current heavy lifters (capable of flying with up to 15-20lbs of payload) can only sustain 15 minutes of flight at the most and thats being optimistic. Not to mention those are $20k+ rigs which definitely costs 4-8x the cost of the average pizzaboy delivery car.

I still bet it's cheaper (less cost) to pay a deliver driver than a drone operator.

I can see the headlines now....

"Today the 10,002 th person was decapitated by the pizza drones.."

"Average price of pizza delivery surcharge is now $12,000 due to increased costs for drone flier, lawsuits and numerous other expenses.."
I have a parrot AR Drone I make sure I carry a spare battery with me since they die so quick.
