Alright, I'm posting this in pure humor. I only found out today that Indiana's Personalised License Plate program had been suspended when a family member attempted to apply for a personalised plate online.

But after allowing it for three years, the BMV this year told Vawter the plate was inappropriate, and cited a state statute that allows the BMV to refuse to issue a plate that officials believe carries “a connotation offensive to good taste and decency” or “would be misleading.” I'm not sure where the law draws the line in these situations, nor why Indiana would halt its vanity plate program entirely just because of one lawsuit. Plus, there's the entirely frivolous nature of the rejection of Vawter's plate. Is it because he's a cop? Does that make it discrimination based on profession? What if he was a pig farmer? What if he just really likes a porkchop? Or what if the Indiana BMV hates bacon?P That's perhaps the scariest prospect of all.

Reminds me of a co-worker I had back in the late 90's. He's Vietnamese and wanted to get personalized license plates for his Trans-Am. All he wanted was his first name and he was denied by the DMV repeatedly. His name? Hung.

Numbers offend me and are against my religion.. All plates should be banned.

Seriously, outlaw oink! Some muslim will be offended, or an overweight person will find shame in it. Can you imagine the possible punitive damages from such a word!
