HOLY CRAP, thank god I didnt know this was gonna happen today when I arrived at the dentist. Apparently to make my bottom bridge one of the teeth to anchor onto didnt have enough bone supporting it, so it had to come out. Nothing hurt until it was actually OUT . Then woooooow . Pains going away pretty rapidly though. They gave me Vicoden , Im trying to hold off to see if it goes away on its own before I take any painkiller.
ON A GREAT NOTE
My Dentist who has been in practice for over 50 years , when I asked him if I could ever 'box' again he gave me a look like "why not" and then explained to me Mohammed Ali finished out his career with a bridge.

Keep it clean and do your best to not get dry socket. The pain you have now won't even begin to compare to the pain of that. You'll wish you could take another 35 foot drop. Wish I was joking. BTDT

pain is your friend, it tells you that your still alive.
Steve
I always said / thought that since the first time I heard someone else say it. Pain lets you know your alive. I broke down and took the Vicoden, it was unbearable, how many days will this pain last? OK unbearable is exaggerated just a new sensation of pain i've never felt

So do you just have a hole where the tooth was right now? Id say ask the doctor / dentist for recommendation on how long pain should last, and how much meds to take. Tooth pain can really hurt, also infection and stuff you dont want to mess with.
^Yeah he said anywhere between 1-7 days. Im also on anti biotics and a specific food diet to not get anything in the hole was. Printed out a whole rule sheet . Its probably the Vicoden doing its job but I feel fine now :/

3 years ago I had a bridge over 5 teeth. One tooth was removed. For three months I was on antibiotics and percocet.
Last week I finally got a crown on a back molar that my initial visit was two months prior...... There was a minor infection that went major that calmed down and then blew up again. 2 months on vicodin and pennicillin.
Percocet was much better than vicodin. Vicodin just gives me insomnia.

Oh man, just get me back to St. Johns Newfoundland
Feel kinda weird still to be honest. The dentist said the antibiotic and painkiller may upset my stomach, gave me a list on what to do in case it happens. Tried it, it worked, but then I passed out, now im in weird state. You cant drink on antibiotics, i dont drink anyways

No tolerance for drugs, sometimes that's a good thing, wish I had it. I can eat vicodin like M&Ms
Percocet now they rule for pain relief, unless its real bad,
then their is always oxycotton or whatever its called, I hurt my back so bad once I crawled into the house and told Melanie to get me one, I was laying on the floor in such pain it was ether take one of them or go to Frankenstein Memorial for a shot. well 45 min later I was still in so much pain I told her to get me another.
I woke up 24 hours later with absolutely no pain, good stuff, but I wouldn't recommend it on a regular basis.

^Yeah it wreaked havoc on my stomach over 8 hours after ingestion. I ate dinner, and got sick immediately. Went to sleep, woke up twice in the night jsut to go throw up. Thank god the pain is gone, dont need them anymore. Now Im terrified to eat anything

You're supposed to eat before taking those things, always at least eat something, in your case a bowl of soup at least would have helped keep the stomach cramps at a min.
As long as your tummy feels better go ahead and eat something, it wont help not to, even just chicken soup, Campbell's is one I like when I have an upset stomach. helps really it does. just don't suck the noodles in, cut them up into bite size peace's and just swallow, no chewing or sucking, not a good idea when you just had a tooth pulled.
