Just asking because I have recently sent out a couple of PMs to people here and never got a return, waited a couple of days to ask this as well. I know not everyone answers their PMs everyday, not everyone even looks at them often. but what do you do when someone says I a thread you have a pm?
me I look and answer it as soon as I see it. but then that's me, how about you?

I told you in a thread that you have a PM. You answered me, thank you. Should I have answered you back in a PM thanking you ? I guess it would have been polite, ... but do I need to say it ? I gotta remember to tell my wife all the time that I love her. Gotta make her feel good. She should be able to tell. When she asks me if those pants make her butt look fat ... I tell her no. That her butt is fat. What is love without honesty ?

I always answer PMS. I do go out of town where I dont get online at all for days at a time.
understandable I am just asking because I sent a couple and they have been ignored, not to you or any of the others who have or probably will post here.
do you think its rude not to?
I try to answer them as soon as I see them but like I said my mind ain't what it used to be, but I do answer them. I think the only one I never answered was when someone asked me how to steal a car.

No you didn't have to say thank you old fart you, and this wasn't about you ether just wondering if people thought it was right or polite to answer when asked a question in a PM. seems some people don't think its important.
I hope my answer to you was helpful by the way.

A lot of times, the new people....and some of the older members....forget that you can have the forum send you an email whenever you get a PM so you basically get a reminder from an outside source other than logging in here.

I answer them when I see them and I have the time to write a reply. I usually check each evening when I'm visiting different sections of the forum, but some evenings I don't get a chance to pop on here. If it's a posted "You got a PM" I may never notice that in a thread, so I look to the bottom of my screen rather than rely on seeing it in a thread.

I did read the PM you sent me. Let me apologize for not replying. I thought what you said was enough and needed no further discussion.

So when someone asks you a question you don't think you need to answer it?
Simple honest questions that would shed some light on what you are doing here.
disrespectful not to answer as far as I am concerned.

no pissing match just asked some questions that I wanted answered. simple not anything out of the ordinary.

In fairness Steve. I don't even know who the other guy is. The PFF beefs are always odd and intricate.
I was just drinking a few beers tonight and haven't "trolled" any post in a while.
I hope you, Amanda, and Melanie are well. If you speak to Nick, I hope he is well too. Jefferey is you are lurching, I'd love to see a text from you again; IMU baby. I likely owe him one too though.
I do find it a bit tacky, though we are mostly "civil" and "family" that you wanted a public response from this guy. Maybe you could have PMed him again? I have 9 PMs in my box that need a response. In one I owe Tony Kania an apology. In a few I owe them an explanation. Another, just needs a touch of base. I slumbered a while after a random event happened in my life. I'll address them at my leisure. Ben, Darlene, Tony, etl I saw your PMs. I haven't opened them. I will when I get there.
Luck to you Steve.

We're fine a little upset about the nut next door maybe getting released but was told she was deported, no real conformation on that. Nick is at his place working hard as ever and has his own forum just to keep in contact with anyone who wants to, PM if you want his link, last time I posted it here in the open forum Cliff deleted the link or disabled I can't remember.
you be good and if you can't be good at least be careful.

it seems only us old timers think it is proper to answer
Steve
Most of the newer generation dont care whats rude or not if its not about them. I stood in line at the grocery store for 1/2 hour yesterday while this gal had a phone conversation with someone about date nite. The clerk was trying to talk to her about her purchases and paying. All she did was give him her palm and stare at him and me. I wanted to slap her in the face. I was about 2 seconds from calling for the manager when she finally got off and paid.

I would have said, and have in some cases,
"Look lady I know you think you are the most important person on the face of the planet, but you aren't, all you are is one of the many self absorbed people in the world who are so discourteous to others around you that you need a reality check, so if you don't mind hang up the dam phone or at least pause it long enough to hand the cashier the money you owe her so I can go guard the rest of the world from self centered egotistical people like you!"
Sorry I can't stand people like that ether, and tell them so when I see them making other people listen to their endless drivel while they are on the phone, personally I think cell phones are part of the problem with the world today, people think they are so important that every call they make or get is the most important one in the world. I love being in a store and hearing people on their phones talking so loud that everyone around them know all the private things going on in their lives. WTF and then they get pissed when they think you are eves dropping, when in reality if they wanted a private conversation all they had to do was wait a few min to make or answer that call in a more private place.
Melanie and I have cell phones sure but it is mostly for emergencies and almost never use it unless it is. matter of fact most of my calls are between Melanie and I and about me having an episode, that what I call it when I am so week I have to lay down before I fall down from doing more than I am supposed to because of my heart condition.

Seems a bit rude to me not to answer someone who is talking to you. Even if it was a rude pm I would answer, unless it turned into permanent negative pms.
