At 1400 hours, 6 June, 1981 in a chapel at Fort Riley, KS I married the lady I had been looking for all my life. She didn't know or understand what it meant to be an Army wife, nor did she expect to be moving within a month of our ceremony. She followed me where ever I was sent and never complained. She was the primary caregiver to our children while I was gone and that happened a lot. She's done one hell of a job keeping everything together while I was off doing all those other things.

32 years. She has only one character flaw, that being she lacks good judgment in men but, she stuck with me through the hard times and helped me with the good ones. Yep, she's a keeper.

Is this the part where I agree with you? (j/k)

Congrats on 32 long, long years with the same person. I think I made it 10 or 12 on my last go 'round. A couple of those years were even relatively good.

I wouldn't say her being compassionate was a character flaw. If you keep talking bad about her, you may not make it to 33 years, .
Congrats to both of 'ya, .

And all this time I was thinking it was my sex appeal.

Congrats! 18 years for us. The first 9 years she was an Army spouse and then we had 4 years both of us serving. Then 2 years of me being an Army spouse and now the last 3 years as an Air Force spouse. I really think we are going down hill. LOL

You had forgotten to mention that she is blind, and has no sense of smell. *jj*

Congrats. That is a feat this day in age.

Congratulations! In January it was 42 years for us. When you find a good partner you don't let them go. BTW, we're bringing the T-top to the 30th. If you are going you can come over and see that I'm taking good care of my/your Fiero

Gwen,
Knowing you're taking good care of my/your CJB is the only reason I have not come and taken it away from you. Oh, I know there's that small technicality of who's name is on the title but, I know a guy.

BTW, thanks for all the comments. I do realize that the success of this marriage has been due to a lot of compromise, hard work and love. It didn't hurt having two wonderful children that turned into some fine contributing adults. But, I give her the credit for that. All they got from me was good looks.
