It was "sleeping" on the right-side shoulder, NY Bound side of the Merrit Parkway in CT. Pretty big sucker. If I was alone, and the Shoulder was larger, I'd have stopped and grabbed him, seeing as he was quite no longer living. (because I'm kinda a nutcase and a Mountain Lion skeleton would be neat to have)

That's the kinda thing I DON't tell the wife. (she think's I'm nuts enough as it is)

I'm thinking they aren't too common around those parts...
I reported it here:

I think that would have been unwise for you, to handle and remove the dead mountain lion.

Rabies..?

We call then cougars out here (not to be mistaken with dangerous middle-aged women).

News story from last week. This occurred just a few miles from downtown Vancouver.

Never pickup any animal on the side of the road and put it in your car.

Heh or like that one woman who hit what she thought was a large housecat, and tried taking it to the vet... but it was a bobcat and it attacked her...

Saw on the news a while back, someone put a dead deer they found by the road in the trunk of their car. I was only stunned and woke up trashing the rear end of the car before running away.
