Wow, does she get it right. He is a statist. But, here I though most left leaning people wanted more state intervention. I guess she has seen the extremes of what she and others wished for and got in Obama.

Oh, I'm not all that sure about her stated reasons but, she's obviously not satisfied with Obama, all I can tell her is she got what she voted for. A person in charge, (notice, I didn't say leader) that obviously doesn't respect the Constitution and wants to bring this country down, destroy the upper and middle classes and do it all by executive order. The mass majority of his supporters do not believe in personal responsibility and seem to want big government to take care of them. The only people I know that support Obumbles all are associated with some form of Entitlement Program. Apparently, someone promised them a rose garden that some one else has to take care of.

What this video should prove, is not that there is dissention among the Democratic voting ranks, but that the ideals that Democrats and Republicans both held dear, have been completely forgotten by those who proclaim themselves as progressives. What this proves is that the support of Obama has been more to do with supporting the "team" of Democrats, rather than the ideas that are American. A socialist health-care bill is un-American. Communities helping eachother, and charities like Shriners, Joe Dimmagio, and other hospitals that function on charity, are American.
I most strongly agree with her statement that what's wrong with the progressives are the "white upper middle-class liberals who speak in this unctuous way about the needs of the poor... they have no connection whatsoever with the working class."
Let me just ask this... have I not been saying this over and over the past 3-4 years on here? How many times have you seen me blame all of these problems on the "white liberals?"

Exactly! I too have been saying this. If one does not know, they should not have a voice. If there is no understanding of the situation, sit back, and let someone that does know lead.
All too often a politician takes on a mission that they have no understanding of. We, as Americans, pay the price of their unknowing.
Obviously, I am generalizing, but the format is what is important.

I think it goes deeper than just this election and dissatisfaction with Obama. The Tea Party was formed because the GOP was moving too far away from what it should be. The Democrat party has been doing the same, and OWS isn't an attempt to fix the problem.
It would be nice to see an election where candidates with traditional values of both parties were running. They would be called "moderates," DINOs or RINOs by the far extremes of either party, but the country as a whole is much more moderate than the parties have become. The extreme division of the parties is to force a moderate who agrees with some things on both sides to choose their party over the other. The moderates have always been what swings any election.
I would hardly call the Green Party more moderate... if anything I think it goes further left.
I think this is an indication that people just want more free stuff and they're getting so greedy they don't think the Dems can get it in their hands fast enough.

Did you watch the video? Because what she talks about, and what you're suggesting (?) she's after are two different things.

Obviously. I'm the only one who mentioned the fact that she'll be voting for Jill Stein. I had to watch the video to know that.
I think most of what she said was a rant that wasn't very connected. She doesn't really seem to talk to know what Stein is for if she's decrying Obama for being Statist... then voting for her.

Not being rude, but did someone steal your screen name?
Is that what you really took from her words? I mean, the lady probably knows more about politics than half of this forum put together.

I agreed with what she said, but then why is she voting for Jill Stein? She seemed ignorant, like when a friend of mine once said "I'm a Democrat because I'm Pro-Life".

I think all this party crap is what is bothering me this election. Just so sick of Americans so divided.
Tony
She's the Green Party Presidential Candidate.
I guess the difference between what I'm saying and what the rest of you are saying is this: I agree with what she said, but I don't agree with what she's doing about it at all. Where what she said spoke the most to you all, what she plans on doing spoke the most to me. Diff'rent stroke, diff'rent folks.

She doesn't win any intellegence awards from me. Any rational person can tell you that either Romney or Obama will win the election. If you don't like the way the country has been run for the last 4 years, vote Obama out. The only way to do that is to vote for Romney. It makes my brain hurt wondering why people can't figure this out.
