HI all

I recently posted in a thread a bit ago on going for a Diploma rather than an AAS degree, someone, I forget who, but they told me to go for the AAS, bout the only thing I can think of for doing that is that the degree would have a higher starting wage over than the Diploma.

The only difference besides the off topic course classes is that an AAS has an Oxy-Acetylene course, and the AAS is one semester longer.

Other than that, why do you think an AAS is better than a Diploma?

Thanx,

Almost any degree opens more doors for you. Once inside, your skills at doing the job will prove their worth.

Forty + years ago, I picked up an AAS in chemistry which got me into a great job in industry, then continued on with more schooling. I enlisted in the AF (draft notice in hand) and that degree also got me into a good job in the AF. Once out, I went back to industry and school, for the next 30+ years.
