Download, and run it.
(windows only - sorry)
Type in yer name and go!

(please be nice in there)

Link

"Call" button : send out a call.
"Chirp" button - send out a short chirp
"oops" button - warps you back to the starting point.

The ONE thing NOT to do:
Don't click the "oops" button once you start the Labrynth (or you'll be sloooow)
If you exit the labrynth, you'll get back to full speed.

A Labyrinth is different from a maze.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The labyrinth is an archetype, a divine imprint, found in all religious traditions in various forms around the world. By walking a replica of the Chartres labyrinth, laid in the floor of Chartres Cathedral in France around 1220, we are rediscovering a long-forgotten mystical tradition.

The labyrinth has only one path so there are no tricks to it and no dead ends. The path winds throughout and becomes a mirror for where we are in our lives. It touches our sorrows and releases our joys. Walk it with an open mind and an open heart.

Three stages of the walk
•Purgation (Releasing) ~ A releasing, a letting go of the details of your life. This is the act of shedding thoughts and distractions. A time to open the heart and quiet the mind.
•Illumination (Receiving) ~ When you reach the center, stay there as long as you like. It is a place of meditation and prayer. Receive what is there for you to receive.
•Union (Returning) ~ As you leave, following the same path out of the center as you came in, you enter the third stage, which is joining your 'Higher Power', or the healing forces at work in the world. Each time you walk the labyrinth you become more empowered to find and do the work for which you feel your soul is reaching.

Quiet your mind and become aware of your breath. Allow yourself to find the pace your body wants to go. The path is two ways. Those going in will meet those coming out. You may "pass" people or let others step around you. Do what feels natural.

Have fun, and be well.

I walked through every bit of the land and still didn't "win"... no credits and I couldn't get into the block where you were. Maybe I had to do the labyrinth a different way. It was too slow though and I don't have time so I'm calling it quits for now.

Heh, there's no "winning"... Sorry no one helped you find the way to get in the box (you go through the left side of the Circular Labrynth, and then you go up and around till you touch the blue/green symbol up at the top.

It's "slow going" because it's supposed to take time. Also, it's easier to navigate through the jagged space.

It's like walking a mantra. Not supposed to rush it.

This is the chatroom for those playing that "journey' game, and it's to test other areas and "triggers" - such as when you finish the trip and end up in the center...

Thanks for trying it.

I enjoyed the walk, I want more "relaxation" in my life and can't seem to get it from the real world right now.

Thanks for the Labrynth.

It's vicarius Brennan--there's never a "win" in anything of that nature.

I stopped on my way to Bryan Texas last week and went thru a 275 acre cornfield labrynth. It was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable things I've done in a long long time.

Turn your computer off and go do real stuff. Breathe. Deeply.

It's bothersome.
Not sure what to do, honestly. So much is pushed before us. Hard to swim against all the mainstream stuff. Journey's a 'game' where you don't REALLY "win" (or "lose"). I've played it a bunch of times, but there are those who have played it 500+ times...

It really is quite beautiful and simplistic. Multiplayer is vastly different than any other game I've played (especially the first few times through. Especially that first time when you aren't sure what's coming next.

The game's been a big success, and highly acclaimed, yet I feel a bit sad that so few people I interact with have ever heard of it. One "problem" is that it's a "PS3-only" release. I kinda have that same ache after watching "Avatar", and after over hearing conversations during my commute.

The Labyrinth is hard to explain. In that thingie I made, it feels like a slow trip in circles.

Journey is great, but I wouldn't want to do it rather then go OUTSIDE... But it's a nice way to wind down, or relax a little, in between projects...

boo.

I plan on making a Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinth with stones and I've thought of a Baltic Labyrinth for Halloween for the kiddies to run thru. The Baltic is a two-mouthed labyrinth where you walk in one mouth and exit another mouth. You won't pass anyone unless they used the other mouth to enter.
