I never would have thought low power Xrays could affect memory, but I guess so! Twice I have sent my phone through the airport x-ray machine, and twice has it come back as "SD card damaged... reformat now." Of course, you can't reformat because it doesn't recognize it anymore... Very strange. For what it's worth, it was a PNY card the second time. I forget what was installed the first time.

Data recovery is super easy on SD cards.

I have "sandisk" S cards, and I have never lost data from an X ray machine, or left next to radiation and geiger counters.

YMMV.

It is easy to recover your data though, of course if its easily replaceable data, just get another card and load it then install to your phone.

Do Not use any OS format. OS (Windows etc) can cause problem w/ SD flash.
