do these turntables have a pitch adjustment nob? try bypassing it.. or holding it..
They are Stanton T60s so yes they do have pitch adjustment. It does speed up/down but if a fly lands on the vinyl it stops and we have plenty of slip so it shouldnt do that.
We had a magnavox that did this, never was able to get it to work without a major parts overhaul. Try Ebay, lots of parts there... I thought ours needed a new motor, i bet yours does too.
Do you have an oscope? You are missing drive, or you have an open winding in the motor. I suspect drive transistors have gone, that is why you have no torque. That thing should rip out of your hand to full speed in an instant you release it.
this looks to be direct drive table.. is there a sensor that tells the motor to stop .. so if something fell or was stoping the platter. it not burn up the motor.. all my d/d turntables, did this if I held the platter stopped.. or try'd to slow it by hand the motor would freewheel and try every other second to drive the platter again.. thats what that start then on/off/on/off/on/off in the video looks like

Don't know if you can get GT-85 in the US, but I find it to be excellent in place of WD40 where some longer term protection is required due to having a similar very light weight and high rate of evaporation but includes PTFE (teflon).

Motor controller circuit, specifically check the PLL circuitry - could be simply the pickup sensor, otherwise you will have to dig into the component level.
eidt - after watching the video again it would appear that the motor reverses direction, which would indicate you have an issue in the driver section for the motor. You may need an oscilloscope to troubleshoot.
