I played this in the late 90's, and THINK it was an early wild tangent game...you flew around in a ship/sub underwater mining minerals and shooting aliens/ gian squid that came after you. Controls were pretty simple, arrow keys and mouse.

I THINK it was called dark orbit, but I am not sure....sound familiar to anybody?

I cannot remember a game that may be similar. It was on a gaming console, either it be SNES or TurboGraphic 16.

But you fly around in different worlds in an egg like spacecraft looking for stuff. Cannot remember the details, but just remembered it was really good.

I don't know what it is called.

I'm not for sure if it was the same as yours, but it may be close or a predecessor.

I've seen that one...it could be a descendant of the one I am looking for, but mine is strictly offline/ single-player

The MMO IS a descendant of the original, and it WAS Dark Ornit on Wild Tangent....your post gave me a search idea and I came up with a forum on it.
