The Chevrolet Captiva is a crossover SUV developed by GM Daewoo (now GM Korea) , the South Korean subsidiary of General Motors (GM) and sold under the Chevrolet brand. The Captiva utilises the GM Theta platform, and derives from the Chevrolet S3X concept car of 2004. The Theta platform also underpins the Opel Antara, the Captiva's mechanical derivative also built by Daewoo. Sold internationally as the "Chevrolet Captiva", South Korean-market cars were badged Daewoo Winstorm up until 2011 when the international name was adopted. Australasian-specification models are badged Holden Captiva.

We don't seem to have them here. The older Saturns, sure, but not the Chevrolet Captiva. From what I looked up, they sell them in Mexico and south america. You probably saw one up from mexico.

http://blogs.cars.com/kicki...-captiva-sport-.html This is a strange development to say the least. The somewhat popular but short-lived second-generation Saturn Vue is coming back to the United States as the 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport.
You’ll see it on the streets, but you won’t be able to buy one new, and you’ll probably see it at used-car dealerships over time. That’s because the Captiva Sport is coming for the sole purpose of fulfilling fleet orders, according to General Motors.
Yeah I think its the same as the Saturn Vue, at least in sheet metal.
Good call by GM IMO - keep the fleet orders, but prevent the high volume of fleet sales from diluting and reducing the retail value of their mainstream products.

Sounds typical for a dealership salesman to not know anything about their own product. Ive been into lots of dealers to tell them about what they sell. It would have been fun to see his face if youd taken a picture and showed it to him when he said there was no such thing...

Strangely enough, I parked next to one of these today, at the grocery store. I wouldn't have paid any attention except that it had a Chevy grill, but looked like a Vue, and I remembered this thread.
Sure enough, the name Captiva was on the rear hatch. Was maroon in color. Didn't look bad.
