I've looked high and low online for a Canadian store that has competitive pricing to whats available in the states (regarding airsoft) and I can't find anything.

I'm looking to get any variant of the SCAR assault rifle in tan (electric or gas) but I'm not looking to spend a fortune. Seems like they just go for way too much around here.

Anyone know of any Canadian stores that sell these airsoft guns for entry level prices? I can't have it shipped from the states or it gets confiscated at the border for being a replica weapon or something of that nature. If it is already imported into Canada by a licenses distributor, it is okay to buy them here.

Thanks guys

The guns are so cheaply made nowadays!!

Bought one last week at CDN TIRE, got it home, put it together, the gun was curved!! The barrel was off about 1/2 from looking down the sights then when lined up perfect, looking along the barrel. You could noticably see it curved!!

Returned and gave up on it!

Have my mother looking now for my old guns, hadnt seen them in about 20 years.. One was a BB gun and another was the Z77 semi auto

Same as this one here:
http://trans late.google.com...%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US

Spent a lot of hours with those two guns.. Used to love the darts for the pellet gun.

Thats why I don't buy them from Canadian Tire anymore. I have a spring loaded M14 that I bought a few years ago and its crap. I'm hoping to get at least a partially metal construction that shoots straight! I really, really want a SCAR. Nearly impossible to find for less than 330 in Canada

The key is to buy a quality gun, from a good brand.

My buddy has a Metal gas powered SCAR made by WE. I love it. I'm supposed to buy it eventually, but life keeps getting in my damn way.

WE is my favorite brand by far. They are considered a good mid level brand. Great value. My personal gun is a G36E (Called a G39E for legal reasons). Set up for sniper roles. Shoots 500+ FPS. Full auto. Gas powered. Love love love it.

I've been looking at the WE SCAR and I really like it as well... but they're really expensive around here! I'd love to get my hands on a used one, but thats tough to do as well. This is more of a novelty item for me that I can shoot for fun. I don't compete in tournaments or team events so I'm not looking to spend 400 or 500 dollars.

The WE SCAR is a great gun. Beautiful and great feel! If it's just for novelty, then get gas. They are a bit more tricky to use but they are SO much more entertaining to shoot. Loud, and they kick! Seeing, feeling and hearing the gun shoot and cycle is much better than hearing the "Zip zip" that electric guns make.

Will American sites not ship to Canada?

If you are looking for just pinking fn, up here stick with the B.B. or Pellet, Airsoft is CRAP in quality the past 10 years.....there is a hunting/ fishing store on Barton just west of Centanial Pwy (north side of the road).....they have good deals every so often, I just cant remember the name right now. Princess Auto has a couple decent CO2 B.B. Handguns for under $50 and a B.B. Uzi with colapsable stock for about 150.....beyond that, around here if you wanna play you gotta pay.

LOL....ALL of them under 100 bucks...I just refuse to pay more for that to shoot plastic pellets. Check out the inventory at http://fcsurplus.ca/shopping/default.asp and you will get a good idea of what we have available locally.....as said above, if we try to order from the US, it gets siezed at the border, and if we try to bring it across ourselves without being a licenced dealer, we get free room and board.

Good Airsoft will cost you a bit. I have a bit over $500 into my G39, but I plan to play this year.

Are you not allowed to transport airsoft/pellet/bb guns yourself across the border?

To give you an idea of what we pay up here my Biathalon was 200, airgun (not rimfire) scope was 160, laser was 60 and bipod was 70.... All plus 15% tax and I still need sling mounts swivels and a sling....just to get a decently dressed (not top of the line) barn/ target gun.

All they do is teach kids that guns are cool, and makes them want to kill people after they grow up. Forget pricing them out of the hands of average people, they are evil and should be banned totally.

lol lets not go there :P

I've looked up a lot of local shops, even went to visit forest city surplus in person but I can't justify spending 400-500 on a toy.

I could do around 200 for a half decent gun. I'd prefer gas blow back. I'm looking into used stuff but I'm not 100% sure what to look for when buying a used airsoft gun. Not sure how to tell if the seals are gone.

I was being sarcastic. Figured everyone would know me well enough by now on the topic of guns..

I have spent ~250 on a pellet pistol from Russia ( skif A3000 ).. but i agree 400 would be stupid unless i was using it to hunt with.

EDIT, and ya i know its not airsoft, but was thinking of one of these, in 22 cal.. -> http://www.archerairguns.co...ir-Rifle-p/qb57d.htm

Caught the sarcasm, hence the " "

But yeah, 250 is plenty on a novelty item. I don't compete in airsoft leagues or anything. Still trying to find that SCAR gas blow back...

That's gonna be quite the trick... I hope you can find one but I'm afraid you're shopping outside your budget.

That SCAR I'm buying from my buddy is a Tan WE Gas blow back model. I'm paying $235, inside the US....... and that's a friend price....
