Considering the history and events related to the sinking of the Titanic, the images are rather chilling....and simultaneously fascinating.

Great link.

Interesting pics. I do have to say I think the Titanic story is getting very old now. I just heard the other day that someone has some kind of lamebrain theory than the moon was close to the Earth that nite and had some effect on iceburgs... Time to get over it. Boat left for a trip, hit an iceburg and sank...end of story. 100 years of retelling it, reinvestigating it, etc is just getting annoying. Its in the history books...read about it if you want. There are as many theories about it as they have on UFOs. I think a UFO fired a plasma weapon on it and it cut the slice into it. They saw it hiding on the iceburg while the aliens were taking a leak...

Actually, I think the discussions are interesting and bring about things not normally thought about. Sort of like .... hey... maybe the earth isn't flat...

Saw a show on History channel I think about how many coincidental mistakes and assumptions were made that ended up resulting in the tradgedy, it was fairly unexpected how many there were.

I gotta go with rg here. Is there some point to this? The story of the Titanic isn't going to change, and all those people are still dead. This is simply a titanic waste of energy.

yep, but
100 years of retelling it, reinvestigating it, etc is still PROFITABLE.

Can't believe they are going to re-release Titanic in 3D...

Doesn't look like the back of the ship is holding up to well. We only have a short time before this ship will be lost forever. It's already falling apart. I think there are a lot of valuable things that can be learned still from this wreck.

We are just over a month away from the 100th anniversary of the sinking so it stands to reason that we are going to be bombarded with stories about it.

I for one can't get enough. Those are some hauting images. Let's all remember 1500 people died that day. It's worth our time.

I saw the movie and in my opinion Leonardo DiCaprio sank the thing...and why did that dumb broad throw that necklace in the ocean at the end?? (wtf) That thing was probably worth millions.
