Will definitely work. It is DDR3 compatible, and the only difference between this ram and the DDR3-10666 that you have is that this ram has a faster clock speed. You may need to flash the bios (if an image is available through HP) in order to utilize the entire clock speed. Otherwise it will underclock to the DDR3-10666 speed, which is no big deal really (and in theory is actually beneficial for the life of the ram since its basically "detuned").

Hell, for you man, I could deliver in person and install

Edit: Forgot to mention, this Corsair ram has a LIFETIME warranty

I am about an hour east of the Delaware Water Gap.......gas alone would cost you to much.

Your price is exactly what its listed at microcenter (5mins from me) , so your telling the truth about that part, and its a good deal for anyone who can use it.

unfortunately like you mentioned, I don't need the full clock speed.....so actually for me they have a slightly slower 10666 for $35.

There is no such thing as DDR3-16666

Could maybe mean pc3-16666 but that doesn't exist either. DDR3-1600 perhaps?

I'm assuming you meant 10666, which is the same as his 10600 or DDR3-1333

Either way, you got ripped off. You can get 8GB kits all day and every day now for less than $50 in 1600 with tighter timings than the xms3

Pretty much every brand and model of ram has a lifetime warranty

Return them?

You are correct, my apologies for the misinformation. This is DDR3-1600 PC3-12800. Original post updated to reflect this. Price is still on par with current market values. The timing on this ram is 9-9-9-24 with a CAS latency of 9, which is about average or slightly better for current ram technology from what I understand

As far as returning it is concerned I can't return unless defective, which is highly unlikely since it is brand new (as in, I've never had a defective stick of ram out of the box...auto parts yes, computer parts no...)
