I am beginning to think my DD is cursed. It's a 2009 Volvo C30, which by itself would not seem to have been cursed by anyone.
However, it has now been hit three times in the two years I have owned it, some in strange ways.
First, I was rear ended last March sitting at a stop light. That is normal enough. Moron behind me didn't stop. No idea why. Just superficial damage to rear bumper. Scrapes/etc.
Two days later, somebody backed into the side of it, collapsing the driver's door.
Now, over this past weekend, it was hit again. Twice. While parked in a driveway! I don't mean "tapped" either. A car driving down the street at what must have been a good rate of speed left the roadway, hit the right rear of my car at an angle, and proceeded up onto the neighbor's lawn stopping just a few yards from their house.
I was walking out to move the car as this happened, as there was a bridal shower going for my fiancee at the house (my parents house), and people were leaving. I ran up to the car on the lawn and asked the driver, an elderly woman, if she was ok.
She said "yeah" and then threw her car into reverse (I big old Mercury version of a Crown Vic), and nailed the gas, hitting my car again, on the right rear, continuing on beyond my car while scratching and denting the whole driver's side of hers, careening in reverse at full throttle down the street until she hit a parked car, head on back to back. That car was moved about 10 feet from it's resting place!
It was just insane!
In doing so, she injured an 11 year old, and nearly killed a 5 year old who was yanked out of the way just in time! The 11 year old is not injured too badly, scrapes and swelling on one leg, prescribed physical therapy to treat.
So I am starting to think my poor beaten and bruised car is cursed! I have never had any car hit in 18 years of driving, and this one is getting hit in the oddest of ways!
I am happy nobody was hurt seriously!
PS, I was calm with this until I found out one last bit of info. The woman is the sister of somebody who lives across the street. She was visiting and had just left to go home. The neighbor said she must have had a diabetic attack to have careened off the road like that, since she had already suffered from two such low sugar attacks already that day.

So like a good family member, they let someobody who should have been taken to a hospital get behind the wheel, and nearly severely injure or kill innocent children!
I am of the mindset now to trade it in when her insurance company fixes it, but will probably find I will need to take a bath due to the collision repairs.
