This just made me so happy that I had to share.

I needed a break from working on Spider (84 Convertible...getting it ready for RFTH16) thinking "I have one last Cohiba in that humidor...and I am going to smoke it." I did this knowing that it would leave me without another cigar for about 10 days. So...I open the humidor, pulled out the bottom drawer....and holy $#!%, there are TWO Cohibas in here!

Real cuban cohibas, or dominicans with cuban seed?

I had 6 Cohibas I got while in the Bahamas.. they were pretty good smokes, but I found I still perferred A Fuente Hemmingway's to the genuine article.

Good for you, though. I put on a jacket last fall that I had not wore since spring, and found $14 bucks in the inside pocket. A great day to be alive.

Currently i am smoking off a box of Carlos Torrano Exodus that I got about 5 years ago when I had gotten some good Xmas money from my Dad. I have been aging them in my humidor all this time and really started smoking them this year. (I had 18 in the box starting in June, I have 4 left..) They are at least twice as good as they were when I first got them.

Nice!
I had a similar experience when I was cleaning up some stuff getting ready for a visit from a lady friend and found an extra bottle of 20 year old Tawny Port I forgot I had.

Dominican...I smoke too many cigars to spend that much on them. I do have a drawer full of Cuban Romeo y Julietas and a few Cuban Partagas in there....but those are for special occasions. Best cigar I have smoked was a Cuban H. Uppman. I was amazed at how smooth and flavorful it was...and it burned so cool that it seemed to last forever. Wish I had bought a box of those rather than the Romeo y Julietas. As for non-Cubans...I buy a La Flor Dominicana Double ligero any time I run across one...same with an Opus X.

cliffw....I would be happy to burn one with you....but I am not giving up my last. But....if you were to visit, I would consider that a special occasion and we could open the Cuban drawer.

I had her too. She lived next door. And I'll never forget!

Get the No59 factory throw-outs. They are a great smoke for the price. I like the sweets the best. Also the Taboo Value blend is a good cheap smoke.
