Pictures.

When Hugo was bearing down on SC in 1989 my grandparents were preparing their beach home for the store when they ran into a woman in the late 70s who had a station wagon filled with only her pictures. She explained that the insurance would replace her fridge, washer and dryer, bed, and other household items but her pictures could never be replaced. Good thing she had that attitude because Hugo didn't leave much of anything left intact down there.

That's crazy because I was just down in N.C. like 15 minutes from S.C. and a lady told us pretty much the exact same story. She said she gathered all her pictures because everything else in the house could be replaced. Everyone on the coast must think alike.
