VW doesn't want you to stream anythings, especially high bandwidth. (Netflix and others uses more compression for phones than Computer Wii etc... phones have smaller screens.) Streaming is one of problem that breaks ATT network in some markets, like NYC Philly etc, from dropping call and a refusing to connect call, even sent basic text, because smart phone use to much bandwidth. Streaming smart phone use up bandwidth like crazy and can overload network. Plus sells Smart Phones out place improvement network in big markets. ATT and other can't build network fast enough so solution? just cap data and be done with streaming problem.
Building network is not a simple as building new "towers." NYC and other cities... Sites for towers is has to get building to use, zoning for towers, and allot of other thing before tower can be build. Can takes years to get new towers site.
Comcast 250Gb cap can be run out with Netflix and others streaming content but most customers won't hit limit. Comcast's Ondemand is a direct competitor to Netflix etc Streaming.

We've downgrade to streaming only. Unlimited dvd? Wasn't worth it to get 1-2 DVD a month for $7.99... Netflix send it, sit on table few days to a couple of weeks to get around to watch it, send back and so on...
We watch allot of series... Many old ones... Trying to watch Fullmetal Alchemist on TV and missing an episode or two....
