My wife took the pic of the golfkart. The youngsters had already gotten up to push it on down the beach, and she had to jump up hurridly to snap it before they got too far away and she was trying to shoot around the umbrellas and other objects around our little campsite.

Brennen (the BDub) is down here on a summer internship with an exploration company, was stuck near downtown Houston over the holiday, so I picked him up there at his apartment early on July 3rd, took him over to see the San Jacinto battleground, monument, and tour the Battleship Texas, then back to my place 40 miles north, to go to Lake Livingston, spend the evening and night at our home, and then we went down to my brother's beach house on Bolivar the next morning (4th). Then took the Bolivar ferry over to Galveston and returned him to his apt around 11pm on Monday so he could get ready to go in the field down on the Eagleford shale oil play in south Texas, where he still is afaik. He has a gf (see the florist thread) and was very "well behaved", does not drink, and I could tell his thoughts were with her and not down on the beach. I'm afraid he may have found us all somewhat boring, as we are all a lot older than he, but I enjoyed his visit and like anyone on PFF, he is certainly welcome at my place any time. He took lots of photos on his phone cam, and perhaps will post some when he gets back out of the field and back to Houston. An intelligent and focused young man and I suspect he has a very bright and prosperous future ahead of him.

I had a blast with Don!

Don't let his age or posts fool ya--he has a sense of humor and puts in jibes all the time. We had a blast viewing different parts of Texas and going to the beach. I do have pictures, but I won't upload them until tomorrow. Don, feel free to post all the pics you want haha. I might not be the most athletically built guy on this earth, but I'm comfortable.

So yes, this 20 year old is that balding middle-aged man on the screen. Don't remind me!
