Well, they were incredibly expensive cars sold to the incredibly wealthy. Perhaps that one had some coachbuilt exclusive features that made it one of one, the dual cowl, the paint scheme, I'm certainly no expert on Locomobiles.if it had not been for the pic of the engine, I wouldn't have decided it. But there weren't many brass era six cylinders that had the pistons running parallel like that.

And since we are doing engine pics; although this timeless marque, which inspired a common term for excellence, is long gone, the engine builder lives on.
And, how about a scooter: This company was allowed, in advertising to compare itself favorably to one of the finest cars ever made.
*bonus if you can name the engine builders in each of the last two picks

I have no idea on the bike. I assume it is an American bike.
It is English
quote
Is that the gearbox in front of the frame?
I believe that is the magneto, but I have never been close to one of these. They were owned by such notables as George Bernard Shaw and T.E. Lawrence (who died crashing one)

VW is cheap and was eazy to use with the pan/frame
but there were ford pinto versions front motor RWD built but they need a frame built so cost more and took more skill
but a real bug is eazy to spot every little detail on the car is a work of art and with value today a street driven one is a fake for sure

So they started selling French cars in the USA? From the styling, it looks like a Peugeot, but none of the French manufacturers are currently doing business in the states.
