You're upset because they're charging market rates? If it was a $10,000 TV set you'd think you got a bargain. I don't fault a mechanic for wanting to charge me $600 to replace a clutch in my $1,200 car, how could you fault the price quote you got? Maybe if you can find some starving Asian technician willing to work for a bowl of rice and a dollar you could get it done for the price you want to pay.
