Hi Dan,
Thanks for the information, I was just about to make the payments when i had this little problem with the picking up of the bike, I am currently on sea and i am buying this bike as a birthday gift as i explained earlier on and i tried to book the pick up with the shipping agent because i have some other items that i want them to deliver it all at the same time, but they asked me to pay a deposit as the part payment for the shipment before they can make any booking, and they only accept western union money transfer for payments and they don't accept paypal or bank transfer and I tried to send the money online but i could not and I am on sea, there is no way i can find a western union agent to make the transfer to the pick up agent, so i wanted to ask if it was okay for me to include my pick up agent's fees in the payments that am about to send through paypal,The shipping company charges $600 plus insurance and all of that, please can i include their money in the payments, as i want to send the money immediately and after i have completed the payments you will help me forward the $600 to the shipping company through western union money transfer, this I would have done myself and not to bother you, but the fact is that I am currently on sea, so I will be making the payment of $2200 for the bike and $600 for the shipping with $100 for the western union charges and the complete payment will be $2900, After I have made the payments you will help me send $600 to the shipping company and western union will charges $100 as sending fee to the pick up agent,I just wanted to seek your consent before going ahead with the payments,I will more than appreciate if you mail me back, and I will be making the payments shortly.

PS:the shipping company's Head quarters is in United State and any pick up fees to be paid is sent to their head quarters by the payee, so the money for pick up will be sent to their head quarters in U.S.A through western union money transfer(this can be done from any post office) or you can do it online at www.westernunion.com

Thanks,
Mr Thomas

I found a shipper for $362 that offers:
Custom enclosed trailer with door to door service. We use a strapless system for all Harleys, custom choppers and any exposed tubular framed bikes, any others we use e-track with wheel chocks along with canyon dancer straps and soft ties. We are dot approved and insured. We carry $100,000 cargo insurance at no cost to customers. We are bikers who only transport bikes.

Date: Monday, April 11, 2011, 7:08 PM
Hi Dan,
I have just made the payments and pay pal emailed me confirming the payment has been completed, I do send the amount of $2900 your full money for the bike is $2200 and the complete payment for the shipping company is $600 with Additional of $100 for the western union charges.
Please check your pay pal email address for the paypal confirmation email, pay pal said that they would be holding the money i sent because of the excess payments that i made which was the money for pick up, i will need you to help me send the $600 for the pick up to the shipping company so they can be able to book a pick up time with you in time and paypal will put the money through as well , as i am sure you won't let the bike
picked up until the money goes into your account and was credited, so please do send the $600 through western union money transfer money in a minute , you can find a western union agent in almost all post offices or you can do it online too, i added $100 to cover the western union charges to send the $600 making a total of $700 that i sent.after you have sent the money please get back to me asap with the western union details, the mtcn number which you will be given by western union after you have send the money as well as the sender's name and address so i can forward it back for your money to be put through or you can email it to pay pal directly, that alright as well. Here is my pick up agent's info that you will need to send the money to through western union money transfer:

I will need the address where the bike will be picked up,as my pick up agent will contact you to book a pick up time after they have received payments but they will have to book a time that is convenient for you.
Thanks And God Bless You.
Mr Thomas

Dude you were wasting your time from the first email with basic gramatical errors, I might have taken that with a grain of salt, but when they start repeatedly using the exact same title of the object "1975 GL1000" over and over again instead of saying "it" or "the bike" or whatever, your're just asking to get screwed.

After the first email the scam alert sirens went off. The only thing he has of mine is my name and email address. What I have of his is his name and friend's name and address. Also I will notify the admin of the site I posted the ad on. Paypal has said no transaction has been taken and they have a forward email of this and an official looking email about the funds are temporarily on hold:

You have received a PayPal Payment of $2900.00 from Thomas .

A temporary hold has been placed on this transaction!

As mentioned in the receipt of Payment and as per New PayPal Payment policy, we have fully debited the total amount (above) from the buyer's account which includes the buyer's shipper's pick up fees.

In order to complete this transaction and get the funds approved in your account. We advice you go to nearest Western Union Office, and send the $600.00 to the Agent and send us a Scanned Copy/Photograph of your Western Union Transaction Receipt (in .JPG Format) with the Western Union Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) in details.

NOTE: This is important as a security measure to ensure safety of this transaction.

Please, find below the name and address of the Transport Agent where the Funds would be sent via Western Union Money Transfer.

AGENT INFO :

Address:

Address Status:
Confirmed

Your Account will be credited accordingly upon the receipt of details requested. It should either be sent in JPG format or send type details as:
Sender's Name; Receiver's Name;; Amount Sent;

Tell him that western Union is wanting to charge you an extra 50 dollars for the transaction. Tell him you don't have "extra" and you can't go further otherwise, see if you can get a few from him.

C'mon Gokart, keep stringing him along, let's have some fun with this one. Tell the scammer that you think that the shipping company is trying to screw him, give you another shipping company to deal with. hehehehe. Try taking a picture of a pile of money sitting on a western union form, use that to make that scammer jump through any hoop you want.

Whats the story about "out at sea", doesn't seem like this person has any difficulty about making contacts or getting money around?! Now that I'm thnking about it, this scammer is having a bunch of stuff being picked up, he doesn't already have a relationship with this shipping company?

Now that i'm thinking about it again, you can turn the tables on this scammer with a hold on the Western Union money with a security question, make the scammer release the funds from PayPal first before you give him the security question. (I've done this before, you can get a WU form at most any Kroger store. That WU money gram is the hook, that's the way to keep the scammer jumping, hehehehe.

Always makes me chuckle that they can't think of a surname. Always Thomas Barry or Barry Thomas or Brad Willams or David Arthur.

You can always hand him over to scam baiters if you don't want to put in the effort.

His 'agent' is in Tennessee. How many fishermen/oceanographers live in TN?

I asked him if I can't access the money, how can I forward it to the shipping company?

btw, the bike sold yesterday to a guy in Port Huron. Gave me cash and we loaded it in his van.
