I already posted it. Those who want the programs pay for them theru double, triple or quadrupled tax contributions. Why are so many people all wrapped up in coveting what others have just to pay for something they themselves want? It's simple--ya want something--pay for it yourself.
It ain't that friggin difficult.

Let's be honest here, how many times a year would you ride this rail line if it is built? I know I might ride it once, out of curiosity, but I don't think I would be ridding it more than that many times any given year. It's just easier to drive my car to Tampa from Orlando and not have to rent a car or use mass transit to get around there. I'm sure many from Orlando will be doing the same as me. I agree on the plan for performance pay for teachers, but I don't think anyone knows for sure how they are going to measure this. I don't think it is going to be something so simplistic as test scores. Tenure should be eliminated and raises should be given to the best teachers, not the ones have the most seniority. The one thing I will agree with you is the one that his former company should not be getting any funds after getting caught cheating Medicade. His decisons are not going to be popular ones and he probably will only be a one term Governor, but he will cut spending, like it or not.

we have inflicted ourselves with a progression of real nut govinators here in Fla but most were semi-harmless leaders with strange ideals and ideas sure some were crooks too but this scott is a kleptomaniac and a thug of a new order so I would not be surprised indictments before his term is up

In the 2000 deposition obtained by the Orlando Sentinel, when Scott is asked whether he is employed, his lawyer, Steven Steinbach, interjects to state that 'unfortunately because of the pendency of a number of criminal investigations relating to Columbia around the country, he’s going to follow my advice, out of prudence, assert his constitutional privilege against giving testimony against himself. … that privilege is not an indication of any guilt.'
Scott was asked numerous pointed questions under oath if he was aware of Columbia's criminal activities. After an FBI probe, the company pled guilty to defrauding Medicare and paid a $1.7 billion fine, the largest in history.
According to press reports Scott took the Fifth Amendment 75 times in this 2000 deposition.
Scott has yet to release a deposition he gave this year relating to another company he currently owns, Solantic, that has come under fire from former employees who have alleged the company engaged in misconduct. http://www.newsmax.com/Poli...2010/08/21/id/368068
SOLANTIC is the company that will be drug testing state employees, if Governor alleged felon Scott has his way. And he WILL have his way. Will the Republicans and theTea Party faithful continue to support this sociopath? Why wouldn't you? After all, he's mean, he smiles a lot, and he has a catchy slogan: "Lets get to work!"

No, it ISN'T simple. Usually, complex problems just can't be simply solved with an axe or a gun in real life. Especially when the weapon is wielded by a smart crook backed by an army of simpletons. Of course, I'm speaking of Florida, not necessarily Texas. (You didn't read the article, did you.)
I give up.

If he's done something illegal, if he's broken the law, then no. He should be punished and replaced.
I'm guessing you won't believe this, but I'll say it anyway - the Tea Party is not about blind partisanship and supporting Republicans no matter what. If someone is dirty or if they aren't doing the kind of job we elected them to do, like cutting spending and not raising taxes, then we will help get rid of them. We'll run a new Republican in their place.

Which kind of conversation did you want to have on this? Discussion or insults? I'll leave it up to you.

A poll conducted by Quinnipiac University and released on Wednesday found Florida voters souring on Gov. Rick Scott, with 48 percent disapproving of his performance in office and 35 percent supporting it.
Scott’s disapproval numbers spiked dramatically from Quinnipiac’s last survey in early February when the governor won 35 percent approval and 22 percent disapproval. The poll found Scott remained more popular among fellow Republicans, winning their approval 58 percent to 25 percent, but his stock among Democrats and, more importantly, independents remains low.
But Scott is not the only unpopular politician in Tallahassee. The poll also found that Florida voters did not care for the way the Legislature is doing its job, giving it 35 percent approval and 47 percent disapproval. With their party in firm control of both chambers, Republicans approved of the Legislature 49 percent to 33 percent. Democrats gave it much lower marks with 24 percent approval and 57 percent disapproval. Less than a third of independents -- 32 percent -- approved of the Legislature’s performance while 53 percent disapproved.
“The fact that Scott is as unpopular as the state Legislature, which has a 47 [percent] to 35 percent disapproval rating, is evidence of the depth of his problem,” said Brown. “It is exceedingly rare for an unindicted governor or president to ever be seen as poorly by the electorate as his legislature or Congress.” Brown maintained the poll‘s findings could be grim tidings for Scott who is up for another term in 2014.
“It would be rare that a governor who is perceived by the electorate as unfair gets re-elected,” said Brown. “A total of 95 percent of Florida voters say the state’s budget problems are very or somewhat serious. They know something has to be done, but they want someone who treats them fairly in that process.” http://www.sunshinestatenew...moon-over-rick-scott
“A total of 95 percent of Florida voters say the state’s budget problems are very or somewhat serious. They know something has to be done, but they want someone who treats them fairly in that process.”
Yeah, that is what people SAY.
The reality is that when you take away something that people have perceived to have been given to them, in this culture, in ANY state, you are going to be unpopular and probably are gonig to be called unfair.
On the national level, the republicans are asking for a 66 billion dollar spending cut, which is a drop in the bucket compared to what has been being spent, and the democrats HAVE A PLAN to label this small percentage as EXTREME CUTS and DANGEROUS.
So what did you THINK was going to happen with someone who cut things? Were you expecting the polls to be all rosy?
You need to have a leader who will let the polls be bad, let people boo him at baseball games, and cut over spending and let people scream unfair.

This country was founded on people willing to leave their homes, take a risk with no safety net, accept the hardships and consequences IN ORDER TO BE FREE.
It was simple then. You make your own way. You reap what you sow. If you reap nothing, you get nothing. If you have problems, you deal with it yourself or you arrange your own group of help. But you didn't look to stick anyone else with your bill. You take PERSONAL responsibility for your life.
There are STILL SOME people in this country that have that spirit.
You obviously are not one of them.

Right now we have a government that is being completely reckless, and wants everything for nothing.
A lot of the reason those in government want that is because they want their poll ratings to be high, as if that is some sort of measure that they are doing a good job or doing the right thing.
