I like keeping people current with today's events and bashing the president and government while I'm at it, so what's the problem? Here in the United States of America we are allowed to do this and it helps keep the politicians honest. What do they do in Canada or is this frowned upon there? Just be glad I'm not the post whore I used to be when I first joined this forum.

I very seldom disagree with your line of thought. I just wish that you would at least give us a "Cliff's Notes" version instead of the ususal hit and run.
I didn't think the Polar bear story was "news" worthy. It also is too sad of a story. In other news, Chubby Checker was in concert at EPCOT today. He still looks and sounds great. Click on the pictures for a larger version.

I wouldn't muzzle you or deny your right of free speech for all the money in China sent there by knee jerk right wing extremists who want to deny union workers their right of a decent wage. (Just rattling your cage--in other words, I am kidding--a little)
My only gripe with your posts is that 99% of it is opinion from a blog or a right wing opinion mill but you post it as though it is irrefutable fact. Politically, I am Republican leaning but I registered Independent because I can't stand the extreme right wing nuts in our county and I have a strong sense of fairness. I don't see any fairness in any of your political posts because they are posted as fact when in most cases, they are opinion. If a Righty messes up, I will point it out and if a Lefty goes off the deep end, I'll point that out as well.

The articles I post are what they are. I don't always agree with them but find them interesting enough to share. I also like to post things to rile up the lefties, it really burns them up when I do that.

yes...but if we wanted knee-jerk tin-foil hat junk - we'd go to a site that has that....
but, always fun to see how out-of-this-world some people go
some call it Spam...some call it Ham.....
yes, its mostly Spam to me - I'd prefer it not be here - but - not gonna say "stop him"
I avoid the blog threads - but - sometimes the TrollBait is just to enticing, and I must look..... and, the usual truth reveals itself. heck - just use the above search thread and see how much has actually come to pass as truth.... the "even a stopped clock" thing comes to mind....and that has got the Blogs beat by a mile
but - feel free to eat up BS - he is supplying a bountiful supply. but, thats what happens when your full of BS?

I barely even read what he posts, sometimes I will if it's from a credible source or if others start commenting on it as if it's true but for the most part he just likes to fling crap against the wall to see what sticks or what he can get a response to IMO.
Most of his posts are like someone shouting fire over and over every five minutes IMO, after the first few times it just becomes background chatter.

Keep up Gods work avengador! A cliff notes version would be great. I don't always agree with what you post, but if it upsets the people that are complaining in this thread....
Anyone else notice that Canada is full of pissed off left wing ******* lately?

Come on, man, you can't lump all Canadians in with the resident crop. I think if you went to Canada you would find that the majority of them are reasonable people.

I've mention the "Cliff's Notes" thing to Avengador before as well.
It's just easier to not click on the links. I respect his opinion, but it is just that, an opinion. It is worth exactly what mine is, which ain't much.

"Opinions are like a-holes, everyone has one and they all stink!" Including mine at times and I didn't come up with that quote. Newf, the troll moniker fits you quite nicely too. For someone who barely reads what I post you seem to be really well versed in what I am posting. I least I will admit to my conservative roots. You, on the other hand, seem to deny or be embarrased by your progressive ones.
Edit: To clear a point.

You assume too much as usual. Please explain what a troll is and how I fit the bill there big guy?
I said I don't read many of your posts anymore because I'm tired of them, not that I never have, when I have commented on them I have read them.
Please stop assuming what I am or what my roots are, you don't know me.

Not insulting our Canadian friends ( I have a couple for many many years now ) but a lot of what we do down here is beyond their understanding. Much as many of the things they do are beyond ours..
We are vastly different cultures, with vastly different histories, even tho we are on the same continent and are 'friendly neighbors'.

That, would take some thought, effort, would require actually dissecting, understanding, and validating an article--as well as checking for factual representation, and standing behind what we type insteading of slinging reguritated paste to see if it sticks.
We each tend do-------- whatever we're best at.

Why should I digest the articles for everyone or even inject my opinion? Is that what we have become? A nation of idiots that need to be fed pablum when it comes to articles of national attention. Read the articles, do your own research on them, and make up your own minds. I usually just post them to inform or for an open discussion. Many of them are self explanatory and are not going to be published by the mainstream media. If I want to share an opinion on an article I usually do when I post it. As I have always said, if someone doesn't like what I post don't read it.

Most of what you post reflects your own opinion and values of "...A nation of idiots..." . A blog isn't always pure truth yet you post it as though the writer's words are true. In my opinion, you post something because you believe it and want to share it with others or verify previously held beliefs or let others nod in agreement that the president is a Socialist born in Kenya, etc, etc. Most of the copy/paste articles I have seen you post are from newsmax, Fox, and some so-called "news" sites that, when you read their mission statement, clearly state they are conservative.
I don't subscribe to the thought that anything in the "mainstream" or "driveby" media is false and I get my news from several sources including some opinion pieces from both right and left wingers. Frankly, I don't read most of the political articles you post but as I have said previously, I wouldn't try to stop you from posting anything. I have opted out of reading politics in the OT section. This is about as political as I care to get.

I give--Why should you? 1. Don't have the stomach for it. 2. Don't have to guts to even try. (you've already stated many times you have plenty of time) 3. You're concerned you might recieve a few negs for any view or opinion you might post as your own.
Say what you wish about Newf, but he's chewed you up using factual information and spit you out more often than not over the the drivel you dredge up, especially that that emanates from WND. AND, he's not afraid to stand toe to toe with anyone over any issue.

I'm not implying anything. I will state that many people are just too lazy or partisan to actually read what is going on in the world, some even lack the knowledge to understand what is going on because they haven't been following the events that lead up to certain stories. As for newf handing me my ass, that is true, but the reverse is also true. He gives me the impression that he doesn't like our country and it's way of doing things, and likes to show this in a round-a-bout way. Maybe he just doesn't understand our way of doing things, but I don't need to make any explanations for him, that is up to him to do, if he wants to or not. People need to take more personal responsibility and not expect others to spoon feed them the answers, that isn't going to happen. I just try to pass along information to help people reach the answers they are looking for. Every article I post is just another piece of the bigger picture people need to piece together on their own. There are two sides to every story and I can only post one side at a time. If people don't agree with my articles I encourage them to post an opposing one. If I don't agree I will post a comment or a supporting article to my side of the discussion. Again, if anyone can't handle what I post or doesn't like it, don't read it. As for being afraid of getting negs, give me one if you think I deserve it. I probably have more negs than anyone else on here.

How you get that impression is beyond me, I think some might get offended that being from another country I comment or sometimes criticize things that go on in America but I have far more like and concern than dislike for the U.S. In fact I think it's one of the greatest countries on earth.
I have to admit though I am trying to decide if I should post in any of your threads because by your own admission you are posting to "rile people up" or "like being fed" and fully admit you don't even believe much of what you post. This all makes me believe you are just out to get a reaction which sounds more like some kind of cry for attention (in fact you might want to look up that word "Troll" you like to throw around).
I like to discuss topics and debate them and sometimes challenge the claims by people but seeing as you admit you are just posting for the sake of posting and do it to "inform" but often not believe what you post, I think my time would be better spent on factual based posts, articles, opinions or sites.

I appreciate the posts Avengador, even the nutty ones. I don't need you to explain them for me or add commentary or fact check them. They are often a starting point for discussions which I believe is a service to the forum. Don't know why people get all pissy about it. They are so upset that you are wasting their time that they are wasting on PFF.

Say what ? You said people need to take responsibility and look for answers. Then you spoon feed people questionable information so that they can reach an answer that they were looking for ? What makes you think they are looking for the answer that your information might shed light upon ? I think you are a post whore. A lonely post whore looking for attention. Looking for validation of self worth if your thread takes off. Nothing wrong with that. I don't read your posts, or rarely do. Because you have no comment. You offer no opinion or insight.

People need to look for answers because not everything I post is absolutly true. Most is probably slanted or spun, but there is a grain of Truth in all stories. It up to the people to dispute the things I post and prove them wrong if they believe they are so. Complaining about them doesn't do anything to get the real truth out or even add to the big picture. I don't take anything I see or read as being an absolute truth, but I do believe many of the stories I have posted are mostly true. I also don't think everything I post is questionable, you make it sound like it is when it is not. I post many articles that I happen to find as being factual, even if they happen to be opinion pieces, most contain facts. Many of the posts I make are supporting articles with more information about the thread topic. I don't see why people are getting in a huff over what I post, unless they don't like the fact that these articles do not support their views. A discussion is about opposing views, if we all had the same view we would be in accord and there would be no need for discussion. I'm not looking for attention or any self validation. I do this mostly for entertainment and discussion. If it occurs I participate, if it doesn't, it's no skin off my back and I let it die. I get my self validation by other means than copying and pasting articles on a forum. This is just a hobby used to kill some free time. If the information I pass happens to be useful, hallelujah! If someone doesn't like it, I really don't care and they are free to neg me. The bottom line is that I won't quit posting what I post unless I want to.

If I have to question you once, I have to question you every time. I have enough answers to find in life than to waste time questioning you to find another answer.

Are you truly questioning me or is it the articles I post that you are questioning? Do I have to constantly state where I stand when I have done this many times? If you want to know where I stand here it is: I am a conservative leaning Christian but I believe everyone has the right to believe in whoever or whatever they chose to believe in or not. I believe in the constitution and our way of government. I believe in our nation's laws and electoral process, they work as long as they aren't abused and used properly. I believe we all are responsible for ourselves and those who can't fend for themselves. We shouldn't be forced to support those who can fend for themselves. I believe in the reduction of Government spending and cutting the size of Government. I don't like the government using us as their own piggy bank with unlimited funds, this is an abuse of power. I also don't believe in wealth redistribution, that is just theft. I believe in Unions in the private sector and don't like how powerful the public ones have become, some changes need to be made to restore a balance of power there. I also don't believe there is a need for public unions. I believe in merit based raises not seniority based ones, the best should be allowed to rise to the top. I personally don't believe in abortion, but I also don't believe it's my place to deny it to anyone who chooses to use it in case of incest, rape, medical complications, etc, as long as it isn't being used as an after the fact convenient form of contraception. I believe we should cut back on our foreign aid and concentrate on our own nation's well being. We don't need to be the world police and we should bring our soldiers home from the middle east and use them to patrol our own borders. We also need to maintain a strong military for our own protection and that of countries that are truly our friends. I don't believe socialized medicine will work in our country because of who will actually be forced to pay for it and what it will really cost. There are other ways to keep medical costs down. I believe we need to become energy independent and should develop our own resources. Eventually the world will run out of other people's oil. Any other questions?
I agree with you being able to post whatever it is you like, it's a internet forum for God sakes. Your don't posts don't usually offend me or anything so it's all good and it's my own fault for falling for your "bait" when I have commented and this thread has just confirmed that. I wish you would take the time to post an opinion about the articles you post or carry on a serious discussion when people comment as I would more respect for that but you are free to do whatever you wish. It seems some like to just hear opinions that agree with their own which amounts to some kind of weird internet circle je*k IMO but to each their own.

I guess most of the articles I post are just so long that most people miss any comments I may had made. I could just post a summary or a link, but then some people wouldn't be satisfied. You can please some of the people some of time but not all of the people all of the time. Here are some more of my opinions. On illegal Mexican immigrants, they should all be deported or allowed to leave the country with no penalty, unless they are wanted for crimes. Those should serve their times and then be deported for good. All others should be allowed to re-enter the country, if they go through proper channels and have no criminal records. We should also allow more of them to enter on work visas, especially if they were already employed here and their employers will vouche for them. If they have been productive and beneficial to society they should be given the opportunity to return and become citizens if they want to. Our population is actually decreasing and we do need immigrants to help keep our workforce numbers up. Those wishing to enter our country from non-friendly nations will need special screening. No 35 year old student visas for example. On sex, I am a heterosexual and I am secure of myself and around homosexuals, bisexuals, trisexuals, whatever. What goes on behind their closed doors is none of my business and what goes on behind mine is nobody else's either. If they want to marry each other, I don't care. It really has no effect on me or my life. I say live and let live.
