Well, if you start with Airsoft anyway ;-) <hehehe>
The G/F is 40 and has never even held a water pistol, let alone something that lobs little round things
...so I spent a few hours on the weekend teaching her some basics on the electronic scoreboard (yeh, I have a target that scores the hit and keeps count. Its kinda like playing darts)....at 1st she couldnt even come close to anything besides the general direction--but by the end of the weekend she can empty a full cartridge on auto and hit the target with about 80% of them. 2 types of pistols and a machine pistol in one weekend--not bad. Next weekend is riffles
We will work up to air guns (for the weight) and something light-caliber (to get her used to the noise)
And before you guys start snickering...what I am leading up to is her 1st shot on a 12-guage. I aint warnin her (beyond briefly and demonstration) about recoil........and yes I will post a video of that one when it happens (if I can sit with the shotgun rammed up my a$$ when its over with
)
