Any of you guys who ever took music lessons will probably appreciate this one: an all-girl garage band that featured the older sister of one of my best friends in high school and college. They were from a very musical family, and both my friend and his sister now have PhDs in music.

My choice is obvious by my avatar, but I'm a little biased. #2 choice is Iron Maiden...

A band with a nasty, sleezy, slutty girl lead singer, called 'Hole'.

My ex-Brother-In_law was in an eight-man band band consisting of all amputees. Each one was missing some part or other. The band was named: "Pieces of Eight"

You posted that like 8 months ago. Do you have some sort of unhealthy obsession with Courtney Love?
Wait,
ANY obsession, no, any
INTEREST in Courtney Love is unhealthy. Or will at the very least lead to diseases you don't want, and probably can't be cured.

Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden are both cool names for amazing bands. I would like to throw The Intermission out there.

You are, without a doubt, a Southern Californian..... NOBODY else knows about the
Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo !!
Danny Elfman's group...the first band I ever saw perform live with digital drums. The keyboardist (Richard Gibbs) did a couple of Chaka Khan tours with me in the late 80's.
I knew I liked you for one reason or another...

Actually, those kinds of girls can be ALOT of fun!
Just don't get in too deep.
It is a VERY slippery slope.
HOLE indeed.

I saw them live last year... Courtney is scary lookin' but they put on one heck of a show. It was great until she took off her dress (she was wearing two but the bottom layer was quite transparent - her commando status was clear to the audience).
Never thought I'd be within spitting distance of Courtney's Love Hole.

Coal Canyon Road Band. No group by that name. Every day I would pass by the "Coal Canyon Road" off-ramp on my way to work. Thought it would be an OK name.

Ozric Tentacles A couple of my friends made up a band name: "Bulliker Shagnasty and the Silly Putty Mannequins"
If I was in a band, I'd name it "Big Jim and the Twins"

Some friends had a band in Auburn called W.C. Doan. It was something of a private joke. It meant "We Couldn't Decide On A Name".
