Okay, lets count the people who are "thinking" about running...

http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/P...CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312
http://thehill.com/blogs/bl...unning-for-president
http://abcnews.go.com/Polit...rs/story?id=12170631

The reason why people don't announce they're running for president early in the game is partly to leave potential contenders guessing, and partly to secure funding and donations.

If you are going to run for president and you know you will run against Obama, you can spend all your effort coming up with a strategy to defeat him. However, if you don't know who your opponents are, you will spread the effort around so there aren't any surprise nominees... It's more like a game of chicken - holding out as long as you can to give the best momentum when you do announce it.

Doubtful, I don't think The Donald can handle a Mama Grizzley. IOW, you just can't fire the VP of the US.

Or if you have a show that is nearing it's completion you need to capitalize on it in hopes of continuing the next years episodes. Announcing that your "thinking" about running for Presidents produces higher ratings (a no brainer) and Faux News too is the perfect "Johns" for whoredom and will gladly jump in bed with the idea. Either way, SNL will have a field day using Trump in parodies.

I can honestly say, I'd rather look at Sarah than the Donald.

Evidently, what happens in a personal life has little to do with whether they are qualified to a high level position--elected or otherwise.
We currently have a Secretary of Treasury that was so baffled with TurboTax that he was late paying his taxes, and our govt is doing just great with it's finances.

No, that worked for the imbeciles in this country that fell for that, and voted for Obama. It did not work on me.

I don't care if he's Republican, or Democrat. I'm not voting for him because of his past. If you can look past the cheating, the abuse of the court system, the stupid arguments with Rosie O'Donnell. then vote however you feel. I personally think that just like our current President, you don't hire a star, you hire someone who has clout, and can get the job done.

In other words, we need to stop voting with emotion, use common sense here!

As things stand right now, I'm seeing Speaker John Boehner as a candidate in 2012. It all depends on how things go the next year or so.
The Donald wouldn't stand a chance against him.

He'd have to be quite amazing "in the next year or so" as Speaker to move forward into the White House. No other Speaker has done that since James Polk in 1845.

Maybe the ultraviolet light in the tanning bed has affected his tear ducts.

Yep, I know history is not in his favor but, if he leads the way the voters went in the last election, I can see it happening. There are numerous events that don't track with history over the past three years, so I won't count him out. He's already only two heart beats away from the Oval Office.
