i need to get a vga to hdmi converter, but i dont know what one would be good and not crap. the tv is a 1080p.

Is your output specifically VGA or do you have a DVI output as well?

You won't get any audio over HDMI with this solution...

the laptop is just vga out. i have an Aopen MP915-B that has dvi out. but i want to primarily use my laptop on the tv. that aopen is my carputer.

i forgot about usb to hdmi... any reviews on those?
