For cuts and scrapes that wont stop bleading use ground cayenne pepper on the wound. The blood stop that has saved so many lives in the Gulf War is based on it.

Cayenne pepper when eaten is also a blood thinner along with onions and garlic.

I use Alum.
With eight rambunctious kids, my mom kept a small jar of it in her purse!
